2005 Honda TRX450R with exhaust versus stock 2018 Yamaha Raptor 700R SE! After multiple runs the Raptor proved to dominate the dirt! Please, Like & Subscribe! Thanks for watching!
I would like to see a race through the trails. I'm pretty sure neither would out run the other. The raptor has raw power to pull out of the corners. The trx has the weight or lack there of to hold speed in corners. So i'm pretty sure they would be even where it really matters.
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL I made the comment for all the talkers in the comment section. Both machines are bad A and amazing at what they are built for.
the raptor 700 is definitely going to be faster in a drag race, but the 450r is going to be miles ahead on a track. I feel as if the rider on the 450r was a little bit on the inexperienced side and it also seemed to be bogging a little bit. i love the vid keep up the great work man. personally i prefer the 450r it feels way more agile then a 700. I’ve riden both a 450r and a 700r. neither of them compare to a trx250r which will run circles around either of those bikes in a drag or on a track. this is coming from someone who owns a 450r, 700r, and a 250r. it’s so hard to compare the two bikes because they’re meant for 2 different things but i feel as if yamaha was trying to make a race bike mixed with a trail bike. Another thing i feel might be a factor is how tall the first gear is on 450r. i love riding both of those bikes but when it comes to my preference i think a 450r is better.
I enjoyed reading your comment! I think I would enjoy a TRX250R the most too. Never been on one but they just seem so lightweight and agile! I see where you coming from with the 450R and I totally agree that it's definitely the track King! I've never been on the Yamaha 450 but as far as the TRX450 and Suzuki LTR 450 I still prefer my Raptor over those two. I do think definitely the Yamaha 450 is the king between the other brands 🤘😎 So who knows maybe I'll like the YFZ 450 best one day!
450R Rider here... Definitely a huge first gear. My dream quad is a Raptor. My TRX is built and fast as hell and fun and all, but I just want a Raptor. With that said, I truly miss the ol' 2 stroke punch... But nowadays, we should just be happy to find a true sport quad, amirite?
The 450R does'nt come in till high RPM, so it will jump but the 700R will to. The over all problem here is torque! The 700R will wheelie as bad as the 450R when ran the same way, however the 700R pulls like nobody's business! Every gear every RPM its just pulls! TORQUE! Miss shift, shift early or shift late! The 700R is simply a four stroke power plant putting torque to the ground! The 450R requires RPM's to ramp up, while the 700R just pushes torque the entire time! To the ground! Second is gearing, the 450R is meant to get you around a track fast as possible keeping it in a high rev all the time. The 700R doesn't care! Hit the gas and you got torque and speed it just goes! The 450R will never out run a 700R, no many how many upgrades to a stock motor against upgrades to a stock 700R motor.
Did you watch until the end? We switched it up and put another rider on the quad and didn't make a difference. Now in the defense of the TRX, the rider had some carb issues during those races. He has since tuned the quad and we race tomorrow. Those videos will be coming soon!
The only thing I can say that was a little off in that race was his rear tire was a little low, however, I don't think that affected the performance all that much because those tires are such a heavy ply and only require 4-6 psi fully inflated. Other than that Im not sure. I will say once he added the larger jet in the carb and hot cams it gave me a run for my money which you can see in my video, Raptor vs TRX - Revenge of the TRX.
My street bike is a Honda 929rr so im no Honda hater, and my ATV is a Raptor 660. I beat Trx450r's and Yfz450's usually too. But to be honest my body weight is lighter then my friends so thats could have something to do with it😂. Bottom line is the Raptor is a beast! But dont sleep in the newer 450s!
David good point bro. I used to race go karts and they had different weight classes 325 - light 350 - medium 375 - heavy 400 - super heavy So if I was running light, I could outrun everyone who was in heavy division. Even 25 pounds makes a big difference.
@@Sean-hl9tv With robots riding them. But untill i see that.... Im gonna stand by my statement. Weight, skill, and traction will determine the winner because these machines are too close
Love both quads. They are both faster than shit but that 700 is just fucking insane I went from a 400ex to a 700 and the power difference blew me away it's a beast in the trails same with the 450 but I would rather have the 700
Yes I agree both are fast! The Raptor is an awesome trail machine with its smooth powerband but at the same time when your ready to race it has the power ready at anytime due to it's huge big bore engine!
TRX has them every time he launches he wheelies and besides you don't ever see ya Maha Raptors in the winning circle at race tracks anywhere the Raptors and all-around good trail quad not meant for racing the TRX is only a 450 I'm still launches harder the new Yamaha
Stock for stock the Raptor is faster... I have more videos that I will be uploading to prove this. I'm a very experienced rider and racer and I'm the videos I'm the one on the Raptor and my buddy who is on the TRX is a very experienced rider as well so as far as equal Rider I would have to say it's pretty equal so it comes down to the machine and the Raptor is just flat-out faster stock-for-stock. Now a modified TRX is faster than stock Raptor but not by much....
You can tell that the guys riding the TRX are really inexperienced. The TRX will either beat the Raptor or be extremely competitive with an experienced rider.
No the Raptor is stock with approximately 60 hours. I uploaded a compression test video and it tested on the high side so perhaps it has a few extra HP having the compression on the high side of the spectrum, that's my only guess.
would of been a better match to atleast race a new trx450r something 06 + to be fair sheesh my 14 trx450 with a million hours and a hot cam would easily wax the 700r in every situation
Sean Steinhauer nothing is fishy about it. In fact you'll notice that in all of my drag race videos I always allow the other Rider to get the hit first that's to eliminate any of this back and forth drama of oh well he had the jump. I always allow the other guy to get the jump just so that way when I do beat them there's no arguing as to who had the jump. My raptor is stock and has a crazy insane holeshot and mid-range power. This is a good representation of a stock TRX versus a stock Raptor. If you haven't already noticed I have another video where it is titled Revenge of the TRX and that's after my buddy installed Hot Cams and a jet kit which that made a world of a difference and in that case it was really 50/50 the Raptor and the TRX were really close. His top-end is a little bit faster but that's because he can rev out to his rev limiter in final gear whereas the Raptor is governed at 6400 RPMs in final gear but once I get it tuned I'll be able to rev to my redline of 9K RPMs which will then make it faster then the TRX on top end. As for the riders we're both pretty equal riders as far as experience.
As far as the race videos on QUADNATION 929 nothing is rigged or staged. When I created this channel I wanted it to be as Fair as possible so people can see what each bike or quad is capable of and how powerful they are in their stock or modified forms. At the end of the day you're entitled to your opinion and if you feel that this was staged then I'm not sure how else I can convince you but this channel is fair and I want people to know that how they see these machines perform is what they should expect if they choose to get one.
I'm not saying the raptors not faster I know it is but I have 3 friends with raptors from stock to modded and I have an outlaw 500 and trx 450r and I know the raptor would never leave me behind like that with either of them
@@Sean-hl9tv I'm can't answer that. the only thing I can think of is that the TRX in this video had a low back tire but ATV tires have only a couple pounds in them to begin with so I don't think that that would make that much of a difference.
