Great footage of these dragster. I feel in love with drag racing in the late 1960s & early 1970s. I prefer this level of drag racing rather than the NHRA Pro Series.
A great video!!! Well shot and incredibly edited. I really appreciated the time spent with the various people that we get only rare glimpses of when we look at the big show events and read drag magazines.
The rules seem to be killing this class. Can’t even fill a full 16 car field anymore which is too bad. Seems a lot of racers have switched over to funny car or? I have not been able to make a race at Famoso for as few years. As a fan I often left the stands when the AA/FD cars came out as from experience I knew there would be an oil down and long delay. I don’t blame the car or the driver but rather the rules. Between the short tire and gear limit the racers trying to be competitive have to push the rev limit of the engines on the big end. Why they allow the funny cars and now the fuel altereds to have both a bigger tire and two speeds escapes me.
LooseCannon - Nostalgia to a degree. They certainly are in appearance but with a lot of modern innovations like way better heads and cams, more efficient blowers and mags.

Great stuff. Like watching wide world of sports in the 60's
Very Cool. Thank you AAFD! Happy Holidays.
Small block Chevy wins! A small block "anything" in Top Fuel, looks like the long gone BB/FD class is back!
Love it

Rules and money. To think 50 years ago there would be 60-70 Fuel Dragsters showing up. Now they get what 10-12.
Nostalgia? Digital magneto and hi-helix blower.....lol
