- Krishna Guha, Evercore ISI vice chairman, joins 'Squawk Box' to discuss the Fed's inflation fight, interest rate outlook, news of Trump allies drafting plans to erode the Fed's independence if he wins the 2024 election, and more.
He said things went wrong and then pitched rate decrease. Lol. What's wrong with these people?
Its true we need to lower rate the data is fake
Rates are simply too high for 2.8% Core PCE. They need to cut, it's just a matter of when and how fast.
The Fed also wants Core PCE to come back down to target by end of 2026. That's a decrease of 0.8% over ~33 readings, so they aren't looking for quick moves. They want a gradual decline over the next 3 years

Woohoo! Another Bank Failure. FED to drop rates to 0% on Monday (so that Mag 7 can Make Buy Backs Bigger).
