- For those who don't go for MBBS, Engineering, or Agri after HSSLC most of the students in our state ends up taking B.A, B.Com or B.Sc. But one thing we need to know is that apart from B.A, B.Com or B.Sc there are also many other courses which student can take up like Mass Communication, Fashion Designing, Hotel Management and many more as a career. To be equipped in one specific area will enable to find job after graduation easily in this competitive world. The video is made in collaboration with The Global open University, Nagaland.

the guy who kept spitting made me very uncomfortable. hehehe..but amazing video. great message. thank you for encouraging the Nagas about the great and varied opportunities that are there in the world today. the Naga parents focus so much on NPSC as if it is the only thing there is. like that frog in the well, we just don't see beyond NPSC and it results in the frustration of so many youths who are talented in some other things. its time to wake up and see the world of opportunities we have today.

I also studied in Nagaland...GHSS Dimapur...but after class 12 I left school because of money problem... recently I joined in private school in Assam and teaching here... thanks a lot....

FCUKING nailed it. Not only parents but even educated people from Nagaland has those mindset. Even most people think that working in a company outside Nagaland, regardless of whatever company it might be, they take it just as a nominal call centre n despise it. I currently work in a Amazon as a HR manager earning more than the basic salary of Commandant. Ty DU.

This is so true and this is what I use to tell all my friends and youngsters make them understand the value of professional degree course because our people only knows BA and MA which is not really worth spending time, effort and money, because at the end of the day u end up jobless or at the most you get a job as a teacher or lecturer and if lucky enough then govt job other than that there is no opportunity. And whereas other professional degree course holders can get all the jobs which are mentioned above plus their main profession job too. So professional degree holders have more opportunities and brighter future comparing to a mere BA-MA degree holder.
Another example BA-MA holder going abroad and working (which is very difficult in fact almost impossible) if lucky enough then will get a labor level or a low profile job, but people holding a professional degree(gets offers from abroad) gets a high profile job like managerial level jobs.
