Last year Yuta visited my school tennis team and I had an opportunity to play with him. He was literally INSANE. Since then I’ve became a huge fan of him. Go Yuta! 応援してます!
@@alphamale2363 How is it a stretch lol. He was an extremely promising junior who just decided to play college tennis instead of going on the tour full time. He went toe to toe and should have beaten Griekspoor at Wimbledon half a year ago. He definitely has potential to be in at least top 100
@@alphamale2363 But there are plenty of college players on tour though. Norrie, McDonald, Giron, Cressy, Rinderknech, Nakashima, Brooksby, Koepfer, etc. It's a good place to develop and many players peak pretty late so it's good for that. Rinderknech for example

Kick second serves don't need to be put to the t or out wide, if anything they should be in the middle of the box, it's the safest place to hit a second serve. The farther you aim from the middle of the box, the more risky it becomes. The whole point of a second serve is to increase your chances of making the shot while keeping the opponent from attacking it.

@Nihilus at the college level you cannot be trying to hit second serves in the middle of the box. You do that once in awhile to jam your opponent. Maybe at the recreational level.
@@Raidersscm that’s spot on! I played D1 tennis at Colorado State University. Yuta’s serve is extremely weak. I never lost to a player just spinning in serves. He needs to go way bigger to beat top players.

What you're thinking is "in" is the outside of the ball overlapping the line but not actually touching the line. Certified USTA official, college player and coach, and over 23 years experience in tennis.

I’d love to watch college tennis but the obnoxious howling of these students every play just can’t let me enjoy it in peace. Great players though, wish I could watch past 1.5 minutes though
Modern tennis is mostly about power. The finesse and art is gone now. This needs to come back so we can all enjoy tennis that's not just robotic to watch.

Sometimes when you play with power and the other player plays a specific way that they defect that power or use it against you, to then you're in trouble. In this type of game, power isn't going to make you win. You need to find your opponent's weakness and attack them there.
