Good idea for a focused video. Most of us can escape or deal with heat, storms, etc. It's that cold along with snow maybe ice coupled with the loss of power in Winter. We're good here (OH near the IN border) after living through -- and learning much -- from a couple of rough experiences. 8 days w/out power after an ice storm, heavy snows, both knocked down power lines. Heated with a wood stove just fine. Could know more from these two if not SP alone. Again, good idea.

I know you made a nice live about security, but it was a quite generic video. It included situation awareness, security out of home, etc. I would love to see a security hardware video, especially for homes. What locks are good? What extra door enhancers are a good idea? Any good systems for anti-bumping or messing with the locks or even for kicking in? Do window films work and are they dangerous with heat from sunlight? What security systems are the best at the time? What cameras are easy to use from a smartphone? What systems are still good in case of a power outage? Does complete privacy work in our advantage or not? How to enhance each layer of security to the maximum? When is too much security provoking?

For small medical equipment like the nebulizer you can affordably piece together a system. Buy a piece at a time. You need a cpl of 12v car batteries to store the energy. An inverter to bring that voltage up to 120v to operate the machine. A charge controller to regulate the solar charging of your system, and 200w / ish of solar panels.

I use the blue Walmart food grade 5ga buckets. I buy the Gamma Lids for them. They have a rubber o-ring seal and clamp tight to the rim of bucket but have a center that screws off and on for easy access it also has a rubber o-ring seal so it’s an air tight seal. Depending on what you’re storing in them you can line with a 5ga Mylar bag add an oxygen absorber and desiccant pack to it before sealing the Mylar bag. You can also store dry goods like your rice or beans right in the bucket w an oxygen absorber and desiccant pack screw lid on sealed air tight stack store and forget til needed. I store all my long term food in these 5 ga buckets.
If I was forced to leave in a hurry I can grab a bucket in each hand, load in truck (as many as I can or have time to grab) and go that quick and easy.

MY WISH LIST: 1) A topic that doesn't get much coverage is long-term prepping. Here is something most people can do if you have a yard or some amount of land, not possible with apartment/condo dwellers. Create a green bank account. What does that mean? Store up rich soil, which includes a large compost pile and spreading aged livestock manure (horse, cow, poultry) all around your landscaping. Adding an extra 6" of fertile soil all around will be beneficial if you need to expand your garden. All of our fruit trees doubled the amount of fruit. There won't be any bags of Miracle Grow at your local Home Depot when the grocery stores run out of produce due to a broken supply chain. In desperate times local parks will be turned into community gardens, however having rich soil will be "Black Gold", let alone having thousands of seeds. 2) Another topic is how to process wild game (deer, fowl, squirrel, rats, etc.). I just picked up a guide book on how to process a deer, however I am thinking about connecting with some local deer hunters to get some hands on experience. 3) Rain capture systems that feed a garden that includes aquaponics, looking for off-grid solutions even though we currently live on the grid. Ideally you want to build a self sustaining garden that runs off of captured rain water (cistern based) that utilizes underground olla based watering. 4) Going solar, not a current option for my family but someday we want to go solar let alone shift to hybrid and possibly electric vehicles or at least having one of our cars oriented towards not running on diesel or gasoline. 5) HVAC Cooling Systems, such as burying tubing underground and running fans that help keep your home cool during these heat waves. 54F air from underneath your home can help reduce the amount of time you're running your AC. There are also some AC hacks such as water evaporation systems. 6) Alternative heating sources for the colder winters along with insulation upgrades.

You (Sootch) and Goshen Prepping need to do a video together about Venezuela and home security. He just put up a video about the collapse of Venezuela and how the steps are relating to the USA. He also discusses home security and I'm sure that a discussion of his "three thirsty amigos" situation would be enlightening and fun for everyone. He's a veteran and was a medical doctor. Lots of possibilities for calm and sensible informative discussions. Thanks for your prepping school videos! You've helped me so much!

If you don’t eat a lot of seafood, aren’t near the coast, do your research on the local crops and cattle etc., for iodine lvls. Because you may need to take that into account when stocking your salt supplies, you may need to make sure you’re stocking iodized salt! Iodine deficiency is nothing to balk at. It can adversely affect your thyroids.

If I may, I'd like to share a manual series I like and that is "Tactical Widsom - Baseline Training Manual" by Joe Dolio. This is the first in a series of four. They are easy to digest, tested (he's a former US Marine), and practical. Take care all. God bless.
