    Whether you like it or not, CFMOTO and Royal Enfield will dominate the market in the coming years. Which is no bad thing, as it will make the other manufacturers provide more for less!

    Prefer the clc to the Honda rebel 500 or Kawasaki eliminator, it’s a good looking bike. Good and informative video as usual.

      I agree. They've definitely got the Rebel and Eliminator in their sights, and I much prefer the looks of this. Both the Honda and Kawasaki have the tanks perched on top of the frame rails, which I'm not a fan of - I think the traditional arrangement where the tank straddles the frame looks better. Also, the Japanese engines look very nondescript while the CFMoto has some very nice detail touches like the polished faux cooling fins and silver accents on the crankcase covers.

      270 crank sounds 1000 times better than the 180 crank.

    When I started riding in the USA the only options for beginner bikes were gutless single cylinder bikes that sounded crap and heavy parallel twins that sounded crap. The only way to get a cool sounding entry level bike was to pay an arm for an ancient and rare 4 cylinder Japanese bike like the CB350four.
    CFmoto must have hired some great minds because they are literally building bikes that I used to dream of as a teenager. What more can you ask from a brand?

    In China they sell a single seat bobber version with the mudguard attached directly to the swinging arm; it looks like a mini version of the Triumph bobber; very nice. I hope they import the model here.

    Good review of a very capable machine. I don't know if CFMoto have an in-house design team, but they seem to be turning out some very handsome machines recently. They will definitely be taking sales from the more established brands.

    The usual questions comes to mind: reliability, dealer support and spares. CF Moto seem to be knocking it out of the park at this price point. My Fantic has a Chinese manufactured engine and it hasn’t been an issue at all, great fun.

    • @david.beckenham
      @david.beckenham 6 місяців тому

      Sorry mate, may I ask how much vibration comes from the engine of your Fantic around 60 mph?
      I also had a Chinese made (Shineray) Italian scrambler, SWM SixDays, the previous model with the 5 gear gearbox. (Off topic, but even that was a reliable bike, so don't think that CFMoto would be any worse.)
      The vibration on the three points; footpegs, seat, handlebar, became quite uncomfortable on my SixDays over 4000 RPM wich means right from 50miles/h.
      Is it so dramatic on yours?

    • @nockianlifter661
      @nockianlifter661 6 місяців тому +1

      @@david.beckenham There’s some, not bad though, above 65 it can start becoming intrusive, but I suppose it’s down to tolerance levels. I’ve ridden for several long hours on mine, but mostly back roads where we do around 120 miles per day and it doesn’t get annoying for me.

    Newly subscribed, since after watching a few of your reviews I find your approach to moto reviews genuine and refreshing. No doubt the little wrinkles, such as the muffled helmet mic, will become smoother with practice in future episodes. Even here, the mic issue improved toward the end. I look forward to more of your content down the road.👍😎

    • @MindfulMotorcyclist
      @MindfulMotorcyclist  6 місяців тому +1

      That's a kind comment thank you. I mistakenly put the mic up by the forehead area in the helmet instead of the usually place by my nose. Sounds silly but I did it in a rush and as you heard it did have an impact on audio quality. The last segment the mic was back in it's usual place. Thanks 👍

    Glad you've had the opportunity to test this model, I think it looks and performs great, even the sound, which I'm not usually all that bothered about. Definitely looks like you get that small bike ride it fast feeling. I like that colour scheme, has retro appeal. Wondered if you'd comment on the BMW thing 😂 Pity about the rain, that little church you film at and pass regularly , would've been a good backdrop for this bike. Maybe another time. Wasn't a fan of that opening shot lense, your usual one does the job to be honest, just my opinion.

      The RE 350 is no match in any way shape or form to this bike. It’s way way way slower, less than half the hp, sounds worse, it could never ever brake like the CLC, take a corner as fast as the CLC or handle bad roads like th CLC.

      In UK we drive on the left in Europe on the right. I'm sorry I don't know which arrows?

    • @themotorider1
      @themotorider1 2 місяці тому

      The white arrows are informing you to stay on the left side of the road . They precede a solid white line in the centre of the road which means you cannot overtake or cross the solid line. Usually where you have restricted vision of road ahead.( bends, or dips in the road, etc)
      Please don't try riding on the left side of the road in mainland Europe. I woke up in France one day on a trip from the UK and blissfully set off on the left, down some country roads. EEK! 😂😂
