For me most exciting votings were 3) 1988 2) 1991 1) 2003 (it's not because my country, it was the first dynamic scoreboard, so we can follow the places easily.)
That's why we love Eurovision as well. Now that the voting has changed and one can see it as being all over the place. I really missed the suspense ending like these ones in the video but doing it like they do now is surely nail biting too.
I loved Wogan’s diplomatic comment on 1993. It could have gone to us, it could have gone to the UK but it went to Ireland! Who did he mean by us - the UK he was broadcasting for or - Ireland - the country he is from!
In 1991, it really seemed Israel will win until the voting reached the final 3 countries. Had Italy gave Israel 8 points or more, they would have won without problem
Well, colors and preferences cannot be discussed. Still, I am happy that it was Turkey that has won because they designed the current Eurovision logo with the heart and changed the stage design which is the milestone for what is being used for years. Also some of the later winners said that Sertab Erener changed the way the Eurovision songs with using local instruments and mixing them with the modern music which changed for a better and more diverse songs.
first, well its 1979 not 1971, and second, strategic voting its not allowed and the spanish jury had no way of knowing that those 12 points would change the result so you're definitely not dumb, it was just bad luck
@@marcosmartinez760 and if they (f.e) gave 12 to Switzerland, Spain will won. Y otra cosa, no se si hablas español, porque tienes nombre español, pero hablo muy mal asjhsjahsassa... Pero eso... que da igual, que no creo que vayamos a ganar nunca mas

1998?
@@sietzziee oh yes but I gave examples connected to results (all of them ended with 1 point difference and tie)
What do we learn from this? If the Yugoslavians are voting last it's drama baby, drama
1988 most exciting ever.....
1991 says hi. There was a tie.
1998 too
@@lahavzaken6638 There was no tie in 1998.

Luxembourg 10 points ...crowd : uooooooooooo
Yes, if Great Brittain had got the 12, so...

I bet he knew he should show disappointed but deep down inside he was rubbing his hands.
1991's moment break my heart...
Mine as well, Carola was one of the worst winners ever.
@@Tomek-mf2ln Speak for yourself, I thought her performance was amazing!
Good morning Luxembourg 🤣
0: 41 yeah you use norwegian, Im proud.🇳🇴❤️🇳🇴
Terry Wogan says in 1993, that this is the closest battle in years. But only 2 years earlier, it was the battle between Sweden ans Israel.
And France.
@@lindakristinekjlibraten777 The 1991 entry was one of the worst winners ever. France or Israel had to win.

Fascinating!
Ah 1988 and 1993. Twice i nearly broke my telly by throwing something at it. Miss those days actually lol. X
Are you British?
1991 France 😫
Indeed, or Israel. But the Swedish song sucked.
2003-most exciting ever
I was in Turkey that year watching it. That was something.
Kinda dkssapointed you didn't have the bosnia thing in 1993
Where is the 1958 battle
2003
Italy gave only 1 point to Portugal and 5 to Belgium ?
Belgium deserved to win in 2003!
No way, Turkey had the best song, it was a hit all over Europe and Belgian entry wasn't.
