The acoustics sound amazing! Without knowing I would never be able to tell they are from a metal band. I love the variety of styles we get from Epica!
The acoustic tracks are sure to be as awesome as the ones in the TQE from what we can hear!
I really appreciate being able to see the process of producing and creating an album. It's interesting and I think it makes the listeners and fans appreciate and understand the art behind it even more.
Also, I said it before, and I'll say it again, but there is a reason Epica has become my favourite band over the years: the music is great, sure, but the people behind the music are awesome. You're cool, you're down to earth, you're fun, and all of you seem like genuinely sweet people.

Given that The Quantum Enigma is currently my favourite album, this one is sure to give me some chills.
TQE was my favorite as well. Honestly, if this album sounded similar to it I wouldn't even be mad.

Very good. They release the same day as Opeth. Double Pre-order. They are getting better with every album. Like he was saying most bands 1st album is the best but with Epica it gets better with each album in my opinion. I can see Epica releasing albums for a long time.
I don't know, I absolutely love every single of their albums, but the very first album is still the best for me
I got to meet the band in Chicago Illinois last year I had a tattoo in cartoon of Simone she was honored and mark took a picture of it that was so cool I going to see them again and got the same package. they inspire me to learn at my age classical piano and I advice Avance through 4 books in a month and half it that a person a month to go through a book I only have two lessens a mouth. but anyways don't concierge famous people,or musical artist I consider myself as friends and I want to thank them for their music

Just seeing how excited you guys are about the new album makes me feel good about it too. One of the reasons I fell in love with Epica was the energy you guys give off when you play live, I can tell you love your music so much that I couldn't help but love it too. Here's to many more years of Epica; I can't wait to see where they lead!

I've got a good feeling this album will be my favorite. Can't wait to hear it!
I don't think that The Phantom Agony is their best album, but The Quantum Enigma is. My only complain with the band is how Simone's voice has evolved, she is less and less lyrical in each album. But Epica is one of the bands where all elements are just amazing and the lead vocals are not that important anymore.
I actually think Simmone does best with her chest vocals than with her operatic voice. The "normal" vocals can be a lot more expressive and powerful, as well as being catchier and memorable.
I think it has to do with the nostalgia
It's my favorite because the orchestra and the gothic sound (like After Forever). And because they did a beautiful DVD live on studio ("We will take you with us") with the orchestra
I'd love to see that again. Very natural sound.
I love The Holographic Principle and all their albums aswell but The Phantom Agony is my #1 - Consign to Oblivion my #2

Every single musician can be seen on both documentals playing their instruments. Where's Simone? I want to appreciate her raw sound on studio.
It like a pattern now days to keep on mystery how the singer develops on studio? That is so wrong!
I really want that acoustic version, on studio, small room, idk... like WWTWU DVD but way more simple. Like outside in the night besides the fire, or in the tour bus, idk...
In the last episode, there was some of Simone's singing in the studio.

and although i love her voice the result in my opinion was very heavy on effects,close to not resembling much of her true voice
