Has there been any resolution to the high speed stability issues on the new road and street glide bikes? 20 lbs weight savings on the ST is good. The price is high, but I hope some folks do look to the racing series and get inspired to take a riding class or track day class. Also, those brakes really look good, and this is 100% the first time I've seen any HD review where the rider said they were happy with the brakes. I hope "true" brakes come to all HDs soon.
For years now, Harley touring models have had excellent brakes. They will out brake most sport bikes. That's because with a long wheelbase, the rear tire can't leave the ground as happens on sport bikes.
For $12k basic its good value for the spec when a triumph 250 is $10k. Im waiting for the 450cc triumph next year but with lights as an adventure bike and detuned for longetivity and cheaper suspension and brakes it would sell well. Maybe even in paris dakar spec.
It's envy. Everybody wants a Harley but many can't afford one so they claim they won't buy one because they are big, heavy, slow, or I went to the Harley dealer and they ignored me, bl bla bla. It's envy period! Like you said, if you hate H.D. why click on this video?
A large fraction of Harley Davidson customers were Baby Boomers, and a very quickly increasing fraction of those motorcycles are re-entering the market, lightly used and moderately priced. I cannot see much value in buying a new one.
I've bought 3 brand new in the last 9 years. I rang the bell and let them blow the horns the first time, had them shuffle me around to the parts, service and clothing dept.s on the first two. Before my last purchase in 12/2022 I searched the gently used market and really tried to find deals. The number one issue for me was that people still had loans on the bikes. Several of them also wanted too much, because they got bad deals and overpaid in the first place. They also wanted to recoup the money they spent on extras they installed that I wasn't a fan of. In the end I went with the dealer, again, because at then end of the day you know what you're getting, especially when they got me a 2.9% APR. Don't get me wrong. I'm hoping end of year I can pick up a garage kept CVO RG ST with 400 miles for $39k lol... (dealer wants 48K OTD) we'll see.
Under 50,000 out the door if you get it from the right dealer. I bought the raven black and got a great deal and under 50,000 and it is a fun bike. The 121 high output engine definitely an upgrade from the 117 and not a let down when you have 131 in a 21 road glide special.
I would normally agree, especially since mot people are going to throw more money customizing it and adding aftermarket parts that out perform HD... but this bike if pretty stacked.. it would almost be taboo to not keep everything stock.
Yeah HD starting to catch up what yamaha made from 2006 with XV1900 lineup with 99hp/123lb, so harley took 15 years to catch up japanese power cruisers 🤣 Ahhh victory even had more power than harley when it was produced… so to speak half of the video about how harley got powerful is just 😂

Over 800lbs and performance does not compute. If I want a 2 wheel mini-van I'll get a DCT Gold Wing. And my 2024 Outback Wilderness was less money can drive in the snow and off road. This thing and most HD's are such a joke.
$43k😂😂 No thanks, I’ll go buy 4 ten year old bikes that will embarrass that thing on every level. Starting with staying bolted together and containing their fluids. Oh yeah you can keep your stupid 500w stereo as well. A genuine poser wagon.
I agree with you on the stereo but these M8 motors are actually really nice, smooth, and have more power than the older twin cams with no heat. I'm digging mine
I’m sure any improvement in Harley’s archaic engine design would be better. But $43k? Nothing on that bike justifies that kind of money. Then they plant an “ST” on it? ST stands for “Sport Touring” and that bike couldn’t live up to that moniker if it tried, which it is. I own a gen 1 FJR1300 that I bought new in 2002. It has 80k miles now, zero repairs, zero leaks, zero problems ever, still power wheelies on the OE clutch. The extended warranty I purchased was a giant waste of money, because I never needed it. Harley has a long way to go before any of their customers can say that, just ask my Harley owning brother who has had nothing but problems with his with only 10k miles on it. As far as smoothness goes, I can balance a penny on my gas cap while my bike is running. The only Harley that could ever run that smoothly is a Livewire. I’m not a hater by any stretch, ride what you love. In my opinion if you’re going to ask for that much money, it better be above and beyond anything else available to justify it. I hope your baby treats you well!! Keep the shiny side up!✌️
I’m sorry to hear your friend having so much trouble with his Harley. I’ve not had issues with any of the 12 I’ve owned. My 21 road glide special has over 40,000 miles no repairs no issues. Traded in a 22 CVO road glide with 17,000 miles again that bike gave me no issues but this new CVO ST is almost 60 lbs lighter the 121 high output definitely has more torque and horsepower than any stock engine in a Harley. The different ride modes are fun. Track mode allows you to bypass the safety features and get the most out of this engine. Man can she fly around those CO mountain passes. For me it was worth the money. It’s all in what you like and which manufacturer you’re willing to give your dollars.
If you’re a Harley guy, I think the CVOST is the holy Grail for the 24 model year! Yes, prices are insane!
I saw one in person at my local dealer. It was impressive 😮
Horsepower and torque numbers at the crank, not the rear wheel
Always to make it look better
Everyone who's a gearhead knows this lol
is the 120mph speed limiter still there? twenty five pounds lighter than the CVO Road Glide but the same weight as the base Road Glide.

How will that air filter work in the rain?
You have to use the rain sock in the rain. Otherwise if it gets wet, it bogs down pretty bad.
