I would love to watch one episode all in dutch( you first language). I would still need subtitles, but the timing of you two pals is so refreshing and heart warming. I wonder if you two would even be more hysterical ! Thank you guys for the energy and fun doing your best
Thanks mate!! Yea if we speak Dutch our pace is way faster comedy wise. But probably would bore alot of people because alot of jokes are hard to translate! Cheers mate!!
I'm glad more people are giving this knife a look, in a past video about this knife I show an excellent sheath addition. It's basically a leather pad for the thumb push spot and it works really well, the older versions (which I have) are pretty tight and this really makes it much more comfortable to draw. Easily one of my most favorite knives, thanks for showing!
Greetings from Michigan boys! There are some fantastic knife makers here & I count White River at or near the top of the heap! They also do for production work for several well known makers. I highly recommend the Backpacker Pro model. Small & extremely useful. The ergos are outstanding. But take your pick White River rocks.
They make architects knives there exotic steel blades (cpm 3v and magnacut) The ursa is a great knife but wouldn't use it to baton wood as not every knife is made for that.
I love this knife. It's a fantastic knife in S35VN (the steel your tested knife is in)... But, a knife seller placed a large order for this knife in 3V, if you prefer that steel. And, WRKT now offers it in Magnacut, as well - which I could not resist. I think the S35VN version is what 75-80% of people would be best served with... But, the Magnacut is only $20 more.... And, the 3V is about the same price, through DLT for fans of that steel... I love these options. I only have one experience with White River... But, they were great people to deal with. Their products are quality. And are warranteed for life.
Nearly perfect out of the box knife. I lowered the angle a bit to 20° per side and that makes it even better for me. The sheath is perfect, very well done. There is a version in CPM3v from DLT Trading which might be of interest to some. I use mine when the weather is a bit too wet for my Casström Lars Fält. I like the design a lot exactly due to its simplicity.
We don't have much softwood in Australia other then pine ,no good to cook with it puts a pine taste through your meal burns to fast and emittes a black smoke ,we use hardwood here to cook with redgum squiggle gums yellow box wood ,it's as hard as Steele it would be interesting to see how these knifes handle our timber here ,but thankyou for the great content gent's.
Guys, I love all your content. Could you please consider doing a review or two on some LT Wright blades. Perhaps, a Genisis, Outback, or a Gen 3. Any of these in 3V would be amazing.
I have a white river, Jerry Fisk pack knife and it is fantastic for day hiking, or as an available blade. It is thin at 0.10 inches, having it right on my pack strap at my ribs is really handy.
Look up the Jason Fry utility hunter by White River! I have the ones you have mentioned as well but I used that Jason Fry edition more then any other knife I have. The ursus is my go too in the woods though.
@@ShoahBiz I want to try one of those cubs in magnacut! They had a limited edition run that had Mexican blanket micarta handles and I wish I would have got one one.
When I fist started watching you guys I asked you to review this but due to your recommendations I bought a bravo 1 3v, a gunny scandi 3v and a gunny mini magnacut, fallkniven a1, a couple silky saws, and a few items from your shop, I’ll have to say I am not disappointed in any of the knives I bought and I think bark river is still better than white river knives.
Got the dlt exclusive one in 3v makes a good a pocket carry if you remove the dangler and throw on an ulti clip and move the fire steel to the spine, the version I got doesn't have the nubby handle on the fire steel, also the dangler will kinda fit on a dawson marauder sheath,
I love my Ursus 45, and am seriously thinking of picking up the Ursus Cub for an edc option. White River does a great job with their knives imho. Convex would be nice, but I'm happy with it the way it is regardless.
As long as you don’t have fat wide hands it (the cub) is such an amazing knife imo. Think I’ve seen some aftermarket scales that run the handle material over the lanyard hole too if you do happen to have thicc hands, but stock scales are fine by me
@@seanshirk1896 I have the hunter in my wish list too. I have the Ursus45 and the Backpacker already, but will likely expand my list of their knives I own.
A good allrounder that blade, I like a drop point on a blade but would have to take off the handle scales and fashion wooden ones to fit, as i am allergic to micarta and other manmade materials. This is a bugger as it is a good material for durability and grip, could you guys tell me where you sourced the chicken recipe from as I also have an interest in cooking and recipes going back to the Medieval and revolutionary War era of The States.
I bought the s35vn version and like it so much I bought the cpm 3v version as well as the cub. The cub has the perfect size to edc. Good to see they can be pushed if needed. Thank you for another great one. Chicken sounded so nice and crunchy.
It’s more a hybrid bushcraft and survival knife to me. It does everything good but nothing perfect. My favorite knife is my Montana knife co Blackfoot. Do a review of that, great company
Please for the love of it all review the Real Steel Pathfinder folder with the scandi grind 14c blade. So few scandi grind folders, it has a 3.88” blade with micarta scales and an axis lock. I did end up putting a secondary convex on it but I do that with all my knives. I do wish the scales were more contoured but it’s my favorite carry knife right now. The Scandi grind is super sharp. You guys tested one of their fixed blades with a convex grind a few years ago and it did fairly well espresso for $70.
Why do you think all the knife companies have stepped up there game boyzzzzzz, DBK has a hand in it for sure with all the full reviews that have honest criticism 🎉🎉🎉🎉 keep it up 👍 AND THAT ONE MORE FOR THE ALGORITHM ☝️ 😂
Thanks for another great video, Benchmade just came out with a survival folder the PSK (personal survival knife) we (many ppl not just one) would love to see you guys test it!

Hello Maarten and Mikkie, hope all's well with everyone/thing! Obviously a nice blade for sure... Y'all might come across frogs now and then so if ya find a "rich frog", do ya know where he keeps all of his money?? Any guesses?? Well, in a river bank, of course! Also, don't know if ya run into any Bee's while out there as the world would be very different w/o them... Of all the Bee species, do ya know which ones just love to "scare people"??? Well, that would be the "Boo-Bee's"! Hope y'all got a giggle from those...😊 Keep up the good work and vids. Be safe and take care, "God Bless", sincerely, Randy. 😇🙏👊

Winners of the patreon give-away from July will be mentioned in next weeks episode because of a delay caused by our holiday :D
Which holiday? BTW I agree kind of boring. For that price I want some pazazz.
I will say that the dlttrading exclusive in 3v steel and raw burlap micarta is a better model. However this version is good nonetheless.
You guys did a firesteel job. I mean fantastic job. 😉
I've been waiting for you guys to review this knife for like 3 years!!! The time is finally here!

Same here:)
which steel do you like more? 3V or Magnacut?
Haha, love it when you have your step dad on. He plays the knife Noob perfectly. 👍😁
He seems to be the food taster lately.

this knife looks like T6 lion steel. But as a younger brother.
I have the knife, but in CPM 3V. It's very comfortable, and the "right size". It's a really nice knife.
Thursday again eh? People take it for granted, but looking at the world today... that's quite a feat.

Marinate chicken in buttermilk for 24 hours before breading and deep frying .
I followed a 300 year old recipe :P. But i'll take that advice for my own next meal :)
and dont deep fry in veggie oil use duck or pork fat if you are a sane healthy person.
Also bread it twice.
For me the white river firecraft 5 is their best knife
