it really does help to fly downwind - I used to always fly into the wind direction after launch and ended up surfing - don't look too closely at the BAMFzilla as it is pretty rough! - I think we are both getting better at this!
yes, I mostly use GRX6 and GRX8 - the Vario has really helped with the thermal work - mostly it reminds me to just let it fly - I have a bad habit of using too much elevator control - so when it is not dropping on the Vario I can leave it alone, and when in lift to be gentle! BTW - Your build videos are great - I am hoping my F5K V tail build will be a ripper!
