@@MoritzWeller I need to check the timer setting - I add them manually and probably made an error.. I think I am often surfing the breeze rather than thermal flying, however I have a few strategies to try on the next outing - the B2 seems to penetrate the breeze with more weight..

Yes - a bad day flying is better than no flying! - I am happy to get some consistency of flights above 2 minutes - still, there are plenty of dud flights as well!

Thank you - It is a tricky park surrounded by hills which seems to make for turbulence - it is aways rewarding to get +2mins from the flat field.

yes it gets there in the end - just can not clim vertical! - I should try a 3S?

@@bracesport I tried it and it is more powerful. But I think that with 2s I can get so high height that I can found strong thermals. Maybe I will try to climb up to 150m and I see the flight time.

I think I will put some ballast in the B2 to compare with the B1 on these breezy days..

Hi again. What Tx & Rx should I look for second hand to get Talking same as yours. Flight modes, launch, cruise, thermal, speed etc. launch height. Flight time. I m assuming the bleeping tells you if you’re in lift ?? Where abouts do you fly. Are you in England ??? Cheers John 😆😃😃👍👍

I use a DJI Action 3 on my hat - it is great because of the size and it can stream to your phone for checking the viewing angle etc - I used to use my iPhone which did a good job but was a bit big and unwieldy on my hat - I am still getting used to the action 3 settings, but largely I am using 4K and editing in 1080p which gives you 2x zoom.

Thank you Peter - I really enjoy the DLG flying and it is always a thrill to get a good launch or a decent thermal run - at the moment I am converting an old DLG fuse to take a 'foamy' wing for my son to fly on..

@@bracesport That is super! Nowadays I like to fly with 2ch DLG because its flying weight, but the start height is smaller than the 4ch. I make a V tail for my motor glider, I just want to find a smaller vaquum bag for it. I will post a video from its flight soon.

Она частично справедлива для вертикального полета на скорости 100 м в час и все . Если момент постоянный в фокусе крыла , поляра момента должна быть параллельна оси Х на графике , а этого нет при любых условиях. Производная равна нулю при неизменном моменте . Поэтому стирай все свои буквы и комментарий и ваше ошибочное мнение нам вредное и бесполезное .

What kind of servos Phil? Even the smallest double centering would create big problems here I’d think?

@@banko444 I am using metal geared King C507 HV servos - they seem pretty good..

I have just changed it to ETHOS from OPEN TX so the next outing will be a re maiden of sorts!

I use FRsky gear - OpenTx X-lites for DLG and an Ethos X18SE for props and slopers.

I fixed the ESC this morning so we are set for the next maiden.

it is an F5K (motor powered) DLG with polyhedral wing and V tail - flies well!

yes - I have enjoyed the bigger wing span on the Ranger - I think the Pheonix2.0 would be great - my brother in law has a Phoenix 1.6 and I am wondering if the wings are interchangeable...

@@bracesportthey are (at least within the same length class), hobbyking sells a set of spare wings which fit both 2m models! 👌i wonder if i could also swap to a set of 2400mm wings later 😃

so i just checked, andrew newton mentions it in his phoenix 2400 unboxing video: the 2400 wings don't fit on the phoenix 2000 v2 fuselage because they have a 23cm chord compared to 20cm chord on the 2000mm version. might be a similar problem when trying to put your 2000mm ranger wings on the phoenix 1600.. but not sure.

i think my tail is a bit twitchy - i may add elevator rates..

the video quality was a bit off on the day - I think I need to review my camera..

@@goldenfish77 I always liked the V tail design! it is different from the hand launched DLG but it flies well in different conditions - the motor is a little under powered, but gets the job done!

the P3 is 1.5m and 400g - my new P4 is also 1.5m but weighs 320g - both are E-DLG..

yes I need to dig into the settings. I am normally a no motor guy, so I am learning about ESCs!

Never mind its motor assisted... lol! 😂

I think there is wind shear surfing as the temp was not great - also at my park the surrounding landscape make everything turbulent..
