D deserves an award for this series. I've watched three other channels gameplay footage, and while I've enjoyed all of them for separate reasons, D's are definitely the best. His in game movement and handling of weapons and cover are natural and fluid, making the video extremely satisfying to watch. Not only is he good at the game, he is also super talented at capturing and editing the footage. I'm no video expert so I can't really explain it, (maybe it's the lack of HUD or possibly a different capture technique) but there's something about D's footage that visually looks better then all the other videos I've seen on this game. If there were Oscars for UA-cam D would definitely win "best 'let's play' of a VR game".
His combat skills are remarkable, considering he is trained to handle guns. Every time I see the combat between combines and him, I'd definitely enjoy every moment he has during that time.
I used to watch Jack covering this game's walkthrough, but after watching a few of D's gameplays, I decided to stick to D's instead.
The lack of HUD can be attributed to an ingame setting called "Spectator Mode" which is meant for broadcasting to spectators as it suggests or for recording videos, but the actual player does not see it. which is nice in some cases, but I will agree overall D's Playthrough is far and above anyone else I've watched.

He does a lot of airsoft and brings the intensity of that hobby over to this

Feel bad for saying this, but D may be one of the best at showcasing a VR gaming experience. I seen some VR youtubers that do some cool stuff, but sometimes it doesn't always work out.
That's because it seems as if he's the only competent one lol
Playing the actual game must be a completely different experience, but I wanted to thank you for taking us with you through the journey. Sometimes I almost feel like I'm playing.
Reaching around that shield was most impressive, but the achievement you received for it just cinched the moment.

It has to be said: You've got real talent for what you might call gameplay choreography. Most players just hunker down and take potshots in the Combine fights (which works, to be fair), but you're always moving and reacting to the tactical picture. It's super fun to watch, and I think probably makes people want to play the game.
It makes me want to re-play with a more active combat approach like his, not that it's hard to want to play this again in the least!

That would be a really interesting concept if the combine got paid in filament or resin, it would also make some sense for the 3D printers we see as they act more like vending machines for weapon attachments.

I really miss those time crisis games where you had a fake gun with a blow back top. It would be quite integrated if they had gloves that controlled movement with pistol and rifle attachments that would mimic the guns used in the game and you actually had to pick them up and hold them.
