I have the 9052-GBX and I like it even better than the 5600. I also made the mistake of buying the 6900... not for me. The band is so cheap. Not just the plastic buckle but the band looks and feels worse than their $20.00 models. No offense to the 6900 fans, it's not for me.
You'll get about 7 years out of a battery with this watch. That's how long mine lasted before the battery finally died. By that time the watch was ready for the garbage anyways.
Just bought one today. The bar shows 10 seconds passing and the circle fills up segment every 10 seconds until the at 50 seconds the circle is full the bar counts down with a black to white animation and then it resets. I reckon it's there to give visual feedback on the time like you'd get on an analogue watch if you're in a situation where you're unable to read the numbers.
I chose this same watch. Surprisingly it is very comfortable. There are a lot of pros for this watch and a couple of cons. I really don't care for the seconds animation and the inaudible alarm. I really can't find the perfect watch for me, it's always some features are great but there is always something that I wish was better. It's probably just me and I'm aware of that. Great review, thank you.
Excellent presentation! I had the Casio 6900 model before, this model appears to have the very same functionality and looks ideal for my slim 6.3 inch wrist
hiya, in the end I opted for the G-Shock GD400 that comes with pre-installed bull bars, I absolutely love it! It's a bit chunky but the strap length is perfect for my wrist unlike the strap for the DW6900 that was too long for me just like you said
Great review. The only problem I have is that I have the 6900, 5600 and the HD350 also and haven't been able to choose the one that I want as a daily driver. I really just want a one watch collection and can't decide. I know that this is a silly problem but id like your opinion as well ss other folks opinion on the best choice. Thanks for sharing.
Hell yes. I wore mine as an oyster farmer and it has had all kinds of abuse giving too it. Submerged and battered against barnacles and rocks for hours at a time. Had it for three years so far and is still going strong. It will lose a minute every few months but that is easily fixed. Just reset it. If your looking for durability and simplicity of design then by all means buy it. I wear it more than my 600$ citizen ecodrive.
been 4 years using this one... when i got crashed my wrist hit the tarmac the strap went broke and my gshock been thrown away... still alive and well... although im not ok at all especially my wrist... :D
@@rgb9795 thats good to hear! I know years ago when I was a new driver of a 4 wheel. I thought my blindspot was clear and almost fucked a motocycle guy over by accident. Even though it ended well with the guy curses me out. Im glad I didnt hit him. It was a huge wake up call.
@@juliomaldonado4028 glad to hear nothing bad happened, we should be really careful on the road, sometime its not us who cause the accident but somebody else
My G Shock DW-9052 has been great. I purchased it back in 2014 and I haven't had to change the battery yet.

Love this watch. I wear it when I’m working my property, camping, or felling tress. It is an absolute monster!
This was my first g shock. Its a beauty

Can't think of a situation where this would be relevant

Actually the DW6900 is not that big. It's just the strap design which makes it appears as only suitable for bigger wrist

I love Casio's.
First saw this in the movie behind enemy lines the co pilot wearing it and bought one for my self .😊
Its price in India is Rs4900 which roughly converts to 70$. Is it worth it?

Thanks. That was a great review - clear and specific.
