Really hope offline is on the backburner. The entire premise of the game is an online Skate where everyone is just coexisting, not necessarily being forced to interact with the other people, but having a world that feels alive.

What really needs to happen is the perfection fluidity between tricks especially slides and grinds . Session and skater XL are fair examples of whats possible
it wont be the same the career mode used to be funny it felt like a game made by skaters for fans of skateboarding, skate 3 and this one feel too corporate in my opinion

As the playtest is under NDA, I can't say whether or not those features are in the build but I can imply that if you join the playtest you'll be pleased by what you find.

Because you can't play the game at all when the servers are down for maintenance, and one day even if it's like 20 years in the future, the game will 100% go offline forever and you never will play it again, because there is no offline mode, it will cease to exist. Ubisoft did this with The Crew 1, it's a cancer...
To be fair they've been upfront about it being online only and it's pretty obvious from playing it that it's online only. I'm not trying to justify them not doing offline mode, they should do it, I'm just saying it's like walking into a car dealership and complaining about the lack of motorcycles.
You know they're ignoring the offline question because the only reason they approved this game being made was under the condition that it's a live service. EA is not approving a single player skate game, sorry.
I find it hard to believe these were real questions, everyone wants to know more important things like what about an offline mode, how will monetization be handled, no one cares if the devs can trickline or not. EA is gonna ruin this for us.

Skating is one of the few things where the edgy image actually matches the action itself. Punk rock, Gonzo journalism etc all fall short of the actual image. What i'm getting at is don't be fortnite with boards.
Read this comment. This Skate. World needs grit grim graffiti and gnarly skater swag. It needs the rebellious elements like no skate zone that are monitored by security guards or Karens that challenge your trick and or trick line before the cops come and your fined. Full customization of your avatar’s appearance from body augmentation and accessories to tattoos and face scanning. Graphics need to be next level with this one 🙏
Looking wayyy better with graphics and lighting, great to see. But yeah I’ve never been an online player across all of the games so an offline mode would be the best by far to add. Sure it’s the same for so many other players - just general ability to tweak the game finely would be so good. Looking awesome though, really getting excited for new spots!

If you read them, my suggestions: 1. Dynamic weather & day/night cycles 2. Dirt in cities, dynamic objects (curbs, benches... get damaged, the city fixes them every day or two...) 3. NPC's actually doing stuff other than walking 4. No skate zones, cops, security guards... chase you and lock you up / fine you (u spawn in front of police station) 5. Breakable boards 6. Animals in city, dogs, rats, cats, birds... Basically make the city as real and alive as possible
Please give us a offline/single-player mode, and if possible also a story mode. It's a nice option to have, plus it ensures the game will live forever.

Was not expecting gameplay in this, games already looking great! Both graphics wise even in pre-alpha, and the way it looks like it plays and feels, and the board sound is just 👌
love all the improvements I've experienced throughout the playtests, I think the biggest thing missing currently is more player to player interactions and modes like S.K.A.T.E.
Digital keys don't exist anymore on Xbox, the only way to play the game is from the disc, unless you make a new friend with someone who owns it digitally on an Xbox 360 and you game share their account, otherwise you need the disc. Been that way for years.
Outside the obvious offline..Something even more I would love and I absolutely cannot stress this enough…manual tricks…Like Casper, Anti-Casper, To Rail, Truck-stand, Handstand etc. and all the type of flips during manual or going into it and coming of out of them.

As somebody who was in queue for the initial drop of console playtesting sign-ups, I'm not really sure what more I could have done. Following the game like a hawk for a year only to never even receive an email past my initial registration. If even the very first people who signed up couldn't get in, I'm not sure how somebody would, beyond connections to the studio. Nice hearing about it!
As they say it's based on random chance and the level of scaling up the server load. I've been fortunate to be invited in every couple of months and currently have access to both the PC and PS5 versions of the playtest. It's just a matter of signing up and waiting.

I never would have expected something like that, but it's cool to see the little things like that, getting attention! Also, recommendations? Private sessions. Which I'm sure will be part of the online. Instead of jumping on the "offline mode" bandwagon. I just wanna get in, and skate by myself, or only with MY friends online. Also, a clothing option? Maybe wallet chains, and other cool "little" details like that. I'd also love to see some vintage boards/clothing too!
Take all the time you need! And please consider potentially releasing the original trilogy eventually. It can be the story modes only with no online i just want to play them again current gen🙏

Offline mode and knees suspension when the character lands a trick or perform a, huge jump. In the videos the knees looks stiff, barely moving.
Grinding on moving vehicles is something I didn't expect but it's another small detail that makes me so excited for this next year!
