It's one of the most beautiful guitars I've ever seen and it sounds equally stunning. I bought the Affinity version of the classic vibe. I just can't imagine the classic Vibe sounding any better then this thing. It's by far the best guitar I will ever own.
Just like with my CV Starcaster, the neck pickup's polepieces are way out of alignment with the string spacing. Check out how the neck pickup's magnet is not directly beneath the high E string, same as with mine. Can't tell very easily with this video, but that high E doesn't come across very much through the neck pickup. It's frustrating; these pickups are not spaced properly for this guitar. I think these pickups were designed for the Deluxe Tele, and slapped into this otherwise beautiful guitar.
I have this same exact guitar. It arrived just 2 days ago from Pro Audio Star for a price that was $130 lower than either Sweetwater or Musicians Friend! It did have one sharp fret edge and the nut on the bridge tone pot was loose, but those were easy fixes. The high E string doesn't align exactly with the pole pieces but there is no noticeable decrease in volume. The action is great and I didn't have to touch the truss rod. I think it came with .009"s but I'll probably switch to .010's as that is my preferred choice. Overall, this is a beautiful guitar! For such a low price, you'll be hard pressed to find anything better...
My CV Starcaster's polepiece alignment is off, too. Especially the neck pickup - the high E string doesn't have a magnet under it, so its sound is weak. Me, I do notice a problem. I raised the polepiece up a couple millimeters, and it almost came into power. I think these pickups are meant for a vintage Telecaster Deluxe, which has wider string spacing. The CV Starcaster has a T-O-M bridge, spaced at 50mm like a Les Paul. The Neck pickup (and Bridge, equally) are spaced at 53mm. I think Squier designed the CV Starcaster knowing full well that the pickups are not right for the string spacing of the guitar, but shoved the production out the door anyway. Now I have a guitar with pickup holes that will never fit a correctly spaced pickup. I might expect this from a guitar priced a couple hundred bucks less, but Squier did me this time. I mean, I love my CV 50's Tele; It's worth the money, so I have no beef with Squier except with this guitar. The CV Starcaster would have been worth even more than my loveable CV Tele,, but for the uncaring design/production.
Squire will take you higher 👆 🔥 butternasty. I have one of these. It's by far my fav guitar out of the many guitars I have. It is a monster beast maestro 🎉 🔥
I have had the walnut colored version for just over 7 months now and all I have done since receiving the guitar is tune it. Intonation was spot on when it arrived and still is. This is such a fun guitar to play and is an amazing value to boot.
They are normally spot on with their classic vibe series so I think I just got a bad one. You are right though these are superb guitars and play well above their price 👍

Poised to pull the trigger on one in the blond finish. Thinking about splurging for Sweetwater's Plek setup...

Just drop in a $15 chrome roller bridge, like I did. No problem.
Is it me or is the guitar juat missing something? The pickups need to be upgraded. They are lacking clarity and punch. Sound really hollow.
Are they true wide-range cunife pickups?
No these I believe are humbuckers with the wide range cover
