- If you got this tool box from craftsman then you're probably trying to assemble the crappy casters / wheels. Other than the wheels this tool cart is actually a pretty good one. I will be using this rolling tool cabinet as a bbq cart.

You should either redo this video or delete it. I followed your instructions for installing the castor wheels and you were wrong. Nearly ruined my cabinet trying to undo what you told us to do. The butterfly washers do snap in if you turn them the other way. Wouldn’t want someone else to make the same mistake you made. Please make this right.
I had no problem because I’m not retarded. You could also choose to read the manual.
omg thank you! With the video and this comment I finally figured it out. They snap in so easily once they are turned 90 degrees. Took 5 minutes or less once I got that figured.

They snap into the holes. You just got to use a little elbow grease. I used the handle of a soft handle screwdriver and they snapped right in.
This is a great video.......I got this tool box and was perplexed....your video helped alot.....but the butterfly nuts actually do sit flush...They have to be rotated..

Hi. I just got this same exact cabinet today and remembered watching this video yesterday.
The two butterfly looking washers that you put on before the casters actually do snap in. You actually have them in the wrong position, so what you’ll want to do is rotate them. Once you do that, you’ll be able to push them in so they snap in flat. The castors will then neatly screw on flat without any elevation/space where the screws go.
I had to figure it out myself because, as you said, the instructions in the manual are horrible.

@@delise808 Yep. They snap all the way in when you press them.
this is why the cabinet comes with instructions. those are snap nuts and should be inserted into the holes and not just sitting on top of them.
Helpful sorta. Luckily while I was trying to do this, my husband came home and pointed out that the snap in things do indeed snap in. He used light pressure with a hammer.
Just used that light pressure with a hammer suggestion and it worked like a champ. With his video instructions and your tip I got it in the two set I just bought. Thank you for taking the time to add that tidbit.

@@Garettalong I saw another post where someone used a hammer to gently push them in and that worked on all eight...they did just pop right in with very little pressure.
the nuts for the casters do fit flush,just rotate and mabey a little gentle help with a rubber mallet but they will go in and fit flush

I wasted my time trying to do it like he did it. You have to put the piece in so it looks like a tie fighter. Then you just tap it with a hammer so it’s flush. Simply put the screws in at that point. Very easy to do that way. 10 minutes and you’re done.
Yes, Christopher has it right, tap those nut things in flush first. I wasted time doing the way this video shows

I thought the same thing... Those tabs... Actually, if you turn them half way, they will push in and you can cinch them down... The instructions are useless. Of course having the right tool also makes all the difference too.
Actually if you look at the instructions you can see which way they go. You have to look really close though.

The clips snap into the hole. They don't just sit on top. I would rethink doing that video though.
Turn the snap nut the other way they snap right in and yes the instruction are like Ikea instructions they suck.

The wheels are jacked, difficult to roll around. I’m pissed!!!!
and difficult to get the screw into the wheel that doesn't move. not the greatest engineering here.
I was doing same thing, you have them in wrong orientation you need to rotate them 90 degrees

it's called a snap nut for a reason... turn it 90 degrees and snap it in.
If you turn them the other way, and hit them with a hammer, it’ll go flush

All you gotta do is tap them with a mallet and presto they are flush. Instructions that come with the unit are absolute trash tho!
This video is wrong. They absolutely snap in place when oriented like they should be. Mine just needed a little motivation from a hammer
HE DID THIS WRONG...and so did I because I followed his instructions silly me!! The bottom drawer comes out...I took it out and put nut plate inside on other side to hold screws in place and then tightened and put the drawer back in and it was flushed.......no hammer or anything needed (:
You installed those clips in WRONG! Turn those clips sideways and they fit right in flush with the bottom of the box.
Do they all shake uneven
