super, super helpful mate! This was perfect and now I have a much better grasp of the various areas of Chamonix. Definitely better prepared to go to it in February than before watching this. Cheers for putting this together! AJ
Hold that thought.... It was icy on Monday, then slushy on Tuesday. Les Houches has had the Kandahar race called off due to high temps. So avoid les Houches unless something changes between now and March.
This year conditions aren't great in so many places. We just came to the Banff in Canada a week before it was -30C this week +10. The powder transformed into slush and ice on many slopes so conditions may change. By the way, Grands Montets area should have the best snow in Chamonix, so if you are an intermediate or expert , that's the way to go.
Chamonix Le Pass gives you access to 4 areas and excludes Les Houches. If you want to get access to all lifts/gondolas, you'll need Mont-Blanc Unlimited pass here: chamonixresort.com/lift-passes/ Note : Valle Blanche off piste ride is a separate deal as you will need to hire a guide.
and one more thing, Chamonix pass doesn't give access to Courmayeur as it is located in Italy, so if you'll decide to visit that one, you can buy a pass from them directly.
Sorry, We do not have any promo code as this video captures our real time experiences but maybe at some point in the future, local businesses will be interested to promote their products and services!
I understand you may like or have reasons to stay in Megeve, but it's not in Chamonix and is ~2 hour ride on a bus from Chamonix. It might be insane idea to drive from Chamonix to Megeve every day! Please don't confuse people around. There are many nice ski resorts in France, but Chamonix Valley is known for reasons that we discussed in the video and if you are staying in Megeve, it means that you are missing Chamonix! :)

those ProuNc11ations of French areas are killing my ears!
Sorry, we're not fluent in French, but we hope it should not be a barrier for getting the topic of the video.
@@nextoutdooradventures Perhaps I was nit-picking a little bit! Very informative video on the area - thanks.
Thanks for your feedback ! Glad we can help!
Nope, I guess for now I won't be going there.
The season is coming to the end. If you like fresh snow, then going there at the end of March is quite late.
The place to ski in Chamonix is really….Megeve! Don’t bother with Chamonix
