@@nextoutdooradventures I was just wondering about the amount of moguls.
Did you mean moguls? Well, have you watched the video? If not, we would suggest watching it really, as we discussed snow conditions and you can see ski trails by yourself. Yes, there were moguls on Sellaronda, in specific areas, after 11-30 in the morning, but not everywhere. If you don't like moguls, check out Apla Di Siusi and Seceda. Sellaronda is quite crowded so moguls are inevitable, but other places may stay groomed for longer.

My home hill for many years.
It's good when there is decent snow, but we like Whitetail as it's a little bigger and offers more interesting runs, assuming no crowds
@@nextoutdooradventures true, I like Whitetail but the weekends at Whitetail, Liberty and Roundtop are brutal. Liberty is my home hill but I still ski the others. Haven’t been back in a few years. Will come back this season though!
Yes, this is very true that ski resorts in the area are brutal in the sense of crowds on the weekend. We made a rule to try avoid any ski resorts on the weekends unless we are visiting some thing huge like Copper Mountain CO or places alike. Otherwise it can be even dangerous sometimes when you see people who run like it's their last one in their life!
Also, looks like you are following a Saslong ski instructor/guide all the time... Is Saslong school good for GROUP lessons (advanced level)? Or is it better to go with Ortisei ski school?
I'm not sure about group lessons. I always believed that a good ski lesson can be taken in a group of 1 or 2 people max. Otherwise, the instructor may have a hard time checking on you as you practice/ski. I think there is not a big difference between the schools, it's all depends on the instructors' availability, their backgrounds and the language that you speak. I would suggest going and talking to both offices and then making a choice. If you are looking for advance training, I would think a former professional skier is the best choice as otherwise you may end up learning basic stuff that you can practice yourself by watching videos from UA-cam platform or other source of your choice. Hope it helps, but let us know if you have more questions, and if you go there , please share your experiences. Having the best snow is the key, but running into the crowds isn't big fun either. Unless you are planning the Sellaronda Loop, you should be fine. By the way, Seceda had the least number of people as it has more advanced terrain but top to bottom trails can be packed after 10-30 am so going there early is the best option.

First of all, many thanks for your feedback! Appreciate that. Video was made in March of 2024 as the title displays. We provide all information without any changes , as it was recorded on the air. Video was made very early in the morning, we literally took the first Gondola and hit the slopes right at 9 a.m., when the area was open to the public. Usually, in the middle of the day, it can get crowded, but we never felt that it was packed like on the Sellaronda Loop (should say some parts of it, not the entire loop). Every season is different, and the amount of crowds is driven by the snow so it's hard to predict next January but usually end of Jan is the most popular time at many and most popular destinations around the world, so you should expect more people in January vs February-March. Also, prices for lodging will be very sensitive to the number of people, but if money is not an issue, you may expect a better skiing experience in January, assuming enough snowfall in December- early January.
Don't forget to check video cameras to see the slopes if you are not planning to buy lodging and passes in advance. In this way, you will know what to expect.

I don’t see how Wheeler creek top is marked as green.
You can check the map if in doubt, but as you see in the video the sign is also green. Can't comment whether it's right or wrong. Many ski resorts use their own rationale.
Very informative. We are planning a trip in early December 2024. We are beginners and after those long and gentle slopes with magnificent views. Which slope would you recommend? Thanks
Thanks for your feedback. If you are a beginner, we would recommend starting with a visit to the beginner area located hundred meters away from the lower gondola station. Once you are more or less in control of your moves, you can head up and stay on blue ones. Also ski school offices and rentals are available in many locations so I would suggest get a lesson at least for the first day. Make sure to tell them what language the instructor should speak and your level. If you have any other questions please let us know!
Many long slopes are on the far side from the gondola, but to get there will take time, and a few of those may not be gentle.

The place to ski in Chamonix is really….Megeve! Don’t bother with Chamonix
I understand you may like or have reasons to stay in Megeve, but it's not in Chamonix and is ~2 hour ride on a bus from Chamonix. It might be insane idea to drive from Chamonix to Megeve every day! Please don't confuse people around. There are many nice ski resorts in France, but Chamonix Valley is known for reasons that we discussed in the video and if you are staying in Megeve, it means that you are missing Chamonix! :)

Thank you for your feedback! Usually, in many destinations for skiers and snowboarders, late December through February is the best time for winter adventures. In addition, some locations may have decent snow conditions during the first week of March. I would say that the second half of January should be a safe bet, but don't quote us on predicting the weather 😃 We visited Dolomites in the middle of March, just 2 weeks ago, and were super lucky to have a snowfall at our arrival. Surprisingly, even now, things aren't looking bad, but January is usually the best month, based on our experience visiting different destinations around the world. The season is coming to the end. If you like fresh snow, then going there at the end of March is quite late.
I snowboarded this area during two separate holidays staying at Val Gardena, its amazing and great fun doing the Sella Ronda circuit in both directions. Well worth a visit!
