Dallas theme and opening never grows old!! Such an iconic part of television history. Love it and Knots Landing opening intros as well Soo iconic!!❤❤😊😊
That walk was taken from one of the episodes during which she nearly stepped on a Rattle Snake...and I'm not meaning J.R. As I recall it was either Bobby or Ray that saved her!!!
I'm writing that my name is Josh and i would like for all 356 episodes from all 14 seasons of DALLAS to become available to stream on the streaming service MAX in 2024.
It was wonderful to have Barbara Bel Geddes return to her role as Miss. Ellie. I always loved Donna Reed...God Bless Her...R.I.P...but not as Ms. Ellie. They should never have replaced Barbara if they knew she was returning to the role. She was a lovely actress. R.I.P. Barbara. .
DALLAS original season 8, aka "The Dream Season", renamed season 9 by Warner Bros when they released the DVD's. This opening is from the first half of the season, about half way thru the season, they changed Barbara Bel Geddes picture, to where she is wearing a black dress.
Nah, Dallas just didn’t feel the same without Bobby being caught in the middle of the Ewing-Barnes feud imo. Though I did enjoy watching the Angelica Nero character and was disappointed that she disappeared like a puff of smoke when Pam woke up. Yes, Katherine Wentworth was definitely a good but underused character. She should’ve been brought back as a regular after the dream.
I've listened to the multitrack for this recording and it's a chorused muted electric guitar which plays a rhythmic 16ths pattern for this bar and the following one before the horn main theme starts. In all previous arrangements , it was always a slap bass riff with a chorused guitar answering phrase or for original Season 6, a rezz synth bass pattern . This arrangement also had an alternative edit with the extensive ending section which has a running time of 1.22
Miss this show enjoyed it every Friday night so did my mother.
Best titles to a TV show ever!! Superb. Blessings

Of course they look like a dream. This whole season WAS a dream.
❤I love the theme song too
That walk by Ms. Principal towards the camera.
I like that too

That was filmed in the summer of 1979, during the rodeo episode.

Love the drama, the antagonism of the JR character. How everybody Hates him but guess why?

They also changed Cliffs left picture
This was a good season, I didn’t miss Bobby at all. I missed Katherine Wentworth from when she left.

I Believe This Was A Video Clip Of "Dallas" Video Open From September 27, 1985.
This was the same opening they used for the first several episodes of that season.
There no distinctive beat between 0:10 to 0:12
The only season where they left it quiet. All the others have an interesting twist in that part. Mixing it up a bit!
All you hear is a very light clicking noise. I’ve always wondered if they did that, since they were mourning Bobby’s death.

Yeah, it was boring without Bobby and Lucy. It just was.
It was unwatchable that season without Bobby Ewing.
"Dream season" what a waste they should have carried on from where season 8 ended cut bobby's 'death scene' out.
Depressing season
