Even though DALLAS went down hill by this point, it is still one of my favorite television shows of all time! It had many great years on the air and stories and acting were still better than a lot of other shows.
Yeah, the infamous dream season didn't help the show much. I think the beginning of the end was the 88-89 season. The final season was a strange one I thought. Erm... the screen wasn't split into three??? That was the best thing about it. I watched so much Dallas in my childhood that I now think of life itself in triple image.

*_great series..........(In Brazil, Dallas had its first seven seasons shown by TV Rede Globo during the 80's and, in 1989, the series was transferred to TV Bandeirantes, being shown until 1992_*
Looking back, I can understand why people in Houston were so bitter about this show in the 1970s, 80s and early 90s being called Dallas. The show flaunted the oil industry with oil derricks and offshore oil rigs....that's totally Houston's bag, their economy, their specialty. But Hollywood made a show about this and called it "Dallas" instead of "Houston"....which was the real oil town. friday night at 9 on CBS will never be this good again. after this show jumped the shark it came all the way down to be a lot better than anything else
Little did we know Patrick duffy and Sasha Mitchell would work together again, and transition to comedy, through a sitcom called Step by Step. As for Sheree j. Wilson, this isn't the last CBS show set in Dallas. Wilson would be back on CBS, and back in Dallas, co-starring with Chuck Norris on Walker Texas Ranger.
@@sherryhannah498 watched an episode of the CW reboot of Walker. I'll admit Padalecki can kick ass as Walker, but IMO, no one can hold a candle to Chuck Norris.
Hahaha... I used to watch this when I was a kid. It was aired at high noon in Indonesia before the stupid TV station removed it to midnight!!! Love Dallas... and I like Pamela dan Bobby very much. I always thought that they were the soul of Dallas.
The final episode on May 3, 1991 marks the end of the series' run where J.R. Ewing (Larry Hagman) where the cliffhanger was never resolved until 1996, with the first Dallas made-for-TV-movie reunion, "Dallas: J.R. Returns." It was later revealed that J.R. had not shot himself, but had instead shot at the mirror where the spirit "Adam" (Joel Grey) was appearing to him. However, when the revival series began in 2012, J.R. was still alive.
In high school I lived about 10 minutes from South Fork Ranch. That last shot of the house is so funny! It doesn’t sit on a large piece of land way off the road. They used camera trickery and a wide focus lens to create that illusion. You could stand at the fence and easily throw an object to hit the house. It’s also not that big.
If Larry had never turned to alcohol (1983 and beyond...) - he'd still be dominating this show.
