Bertha Wegmann was a gifted painter from a young age. She attended the Munich Academy and quickly became a popular painter in a very competitive art world, especially for women. Her tenacity gained her acclaim, and she received high praise from the Paris Salon jury. Only a sampling of her stellar work is seen today, but what is available is worthy of great praise.
