Is there a guide to how to insert the bio into the xemu because its not working. Ive gone into the xemu systems but you dont show how to actually transfer the files during that process.....😢
26 sept 2023: with Xemu version 0.7.111, Conker Live And Reloaded still runs at 15fps on my Steam Deck max no matter what I do (Patch or not). Still some people have better performance. I don't undestand how.
There's no need in renaming. Just click on the path bar in explorer, type cmd there and press Enter. This will open a console window with current dir inside that folder. Alt+Enter (or RMB - Properties) on file you download, copy full path to file and be ready to copy the file name as well. Then, just type inside cmd window: extract-iso -r "path_to_the_file\file_name.iso" And that's basically it.
You don’t have audio for all games or just one game? I don’t have those issues on mine. So I am assuming it’s game specific problem. Maybe I need to know what game that you are having trouble.
@@ED4T so far it's been all of my games. But I only have three, The Godfather Jetset Radio Ninja Giden Black None of them have audio even when the Xbox boots on there is no audio...
Make sure to check Xemu's compatibility list before downloading a game for the emulator. Not all games will play well. Ninja Gaiden, for example, runs excellently at 4 times resolution but there's a CGI cutscene bug with the emulator. Basically, they don't render properly. There is sound but no video. Buffy the Vampire Slayer, though, runs very well and there's no problems whatsoever. Halo CE also runs fine.
Not sure what I'm doing wrong but the command prompt isn't finding my file when I try to extract to convert it. I renamed it and recopied it numerous times but my windows PC isn't finding it. Really frustrating right now.
Hi there my best friend, just want to report that some xbox games do not show cutscenes on xemu for the steamdeck, although the games play perfectly. I am wondering if you probably know the best setting to make the cutscenes appear during the gameplay? I highly appreciate your help, my best friend 😊
the steam deck thing is so annoying i follow these tutorials it might start out looking the same but then at some point the person always clicks something that looks completely different on mine and then i’m lost…i already had emudeck installed i did exactly what you did ..when i click my downloads folder though it shows a bunch of stuff and none of it is xemu..when i find the xemu folder it definitely did not say bios
18:17 you literally skipped the most important part... where tf do you drag and drop file from pc to steam deck. File directory? file address? WHERE? just simply show you doing it. Major hole in your guide....
My games are not pulling up whatsoever I’ve followed everything to the T other than my games were already formatted. I’ve been working on this for a better half of a day trying to figure out what’s wrong and im so defeated im just about to give up
Hi there...does the xemu emulator on Steamdeck have save state, I didn't notice you mentioned about it in the video? Also, would you be good enough to make a video on how to install Nintendo GameCube emulator, or maybe you've already made the video? Thanks my best friend 😊
@@ED4T my best friend, sorry, it"s off-topic.🙂 I remember choosing the emudeck to be installed on SDcard, but it seems that the game ISOs were placed in the internal memory, why is that? Also, I''ve tried to move some ISOs to trash and empty the trash, but when I checked the storage, my internal memory space was still the same (as if no file has been deleted), what is wrong actually? Thanks my hero ☺️
Maybe your emudeck was installed on internal storage. You might need to reboot steam deck to see the storage change after deleting files. Try to put your steam os to stable channel if yours are in beta channel right now.
I had this emulator running for months but Xemu always ask for the files after every launch. Are my files in the wrong location? Should I put them in the Emulation BIOS folder? Like every single time it will say this even though my files are present
What proton version is need now to play PCSX2? I can't seem to find the right one and after latest update it glitches after I choose a proton version than makes me restart the steam deck to try another. So weird and I have owned mine for about 8 months now. Any ideas?
Any fixes for save or continued game progress? MechAssualt seems to play but then sometimes after certain stage it just stops working and takes me back to menu instead of booting into game level, if i delete and start over it lets me start over but then eventually happens again… Maybe Rom? Works fine on Windows 11 pc with same Rom
I think it is caused by incompatibility with Linux system. I bet you are running Windows version xemu on pc so the problem could be steam os or Linux version of xemu.
Hello! Ive tried installing Xemu through EmuDeck, it says its installed but i cant find the files anywhere. Do you have an idea of whats going on? Thank you!
Everything went exactly per your video including all bios, etc. However, when starting game, after emulator starts, black screen appear with message: "PLEASE INSERT AN XBOX DISC". I also check all bios file (same as yours in correct location) and it also show same as in your 5:30 portion of your video. P.S. My game was: X-Men Origins - Wolverine - Uncaged Edition (USA, Europe @ 7.65GB)... could it be the ROM? Cannot understand why game not boot up??? Any thoughts, please help. Thanks!
@@ED4T Yes I did (on my PC) and that too worked flawlessly. I will try another ROM, maybe it's the rom. Will keep you posted. Great video though! Keep 'em coming!! Thanks!
My xbox roms are in Xbe format. So i used extract-xiso to convert the XBE format into ISO and then tried to convert that into XISO however when i tried to convert it to XISO it said that the file was already optimized so it didnt allow me to change it to XISO so i figured that i didnt need to convert it so when i launched the game on my steam deck i got a Please inset xbox disc message. Why wont it let me convert to XISO? im really stumped on this lol id appreciate any tips
I think when you covert from XBE to XISO it did not work properly. The extract-xiso will covert XBE to XISO directly with one time. make sure you use this command: ” extract-xiso -c your XBE file folder directory “ hit enter to create xiso.
Yeah Star Wars was the main reason I installed this emulator in February and it runs trash...after months of trying to install PC version instead, just to find out it doesn't support Gamepads. Then I remember there's a Nintendo Switch version so I highly recommend Knights of the Old Republic on Yuzu
Great work Ed! Best XEMU guide i've seen or read yet (and I've seen a lot of them). Thankyou and keep up the great content
Wow, thanks!
Thank you for making this! It was the one emulator I trouble with. Great video as always
Awesome tutorial! I got everything situated on the first try!
Great to hear that

Omg!!!!!!! Thank you so much your video was so simple 😭 I spend so much time and so much videos trying to this

Excellent guide. Subscribed!
Followed your vid and it worked well pleased I can play classic Xbox on my steam
Much appreciated.

Dude you are a legend! Thanks

sorry man just copy your own bios files into the correct folder as I show. the xbox game need .xiso format roms. thats most of the problems.

Got it. Can you tell me why the audio doesn't work?

What settings do you have running for Conker? It stutters a lot

I have no issues with my xbox games. you can try to uninstall xemu from EmuDeck and then re-install it. sometime the xemu is buggy.

Crazy that you have to do all that to convert the ROMs. Can't you find ROMs online that are already .xiso?
Oh yeah.. I found a link

Hey buddy. Some games will have glitches on the emulation system. Cutsense is just one of most common issues that might happen on some games.

Can you do a tutorial with how to install cracked games?
Is it true xemu runs better on Linux than windows? Can you test on the steam deck running on windows and on Linux? Dual boot? To show fps
Yeah xemu is better on Linux
Yes!
Great tutorial, thanks. Has anyone gotten PGR2 to run decently? It loads ok but frame rate is bad. Xemu compat list says it’s playable…
Does creamAPI only work on windows?

Isn't emulation supposed to be getting easier? Jesus Christ this is too much just for some Xbox games.
Very worth it.. you talking like it's a vitural boy😂
Xbox emulation runs horribly on the deck. Halo2, jade empire, fable, knights of the old republic all have huge graphical errors and are unplayable.
