Marco Rex this one is from the mid 60s. You can tell by the case which is not plastic. Case is formed cardboard. These are not particularly rare. It is very rare to find one in perfect playing condition. I have several if you want one. Ken
Hey Ken!! Have really enjoyed your videos! thanks for spreading the love of music!! I now realize that I may have purchased a bit prematurely. I got the hohner chromonica ii deluxe online but it does not play as well as I'd like. I started to take apart for cleaning and realized I am in a bit over my head. Understandably I am having trouble finding anything online regarding maintenance, cleaning or rebuilding these harps. I cannot find someone who works on them either. Its my first chromatic. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Cody
They are very hard to work on. I would be happy to sell you one that actually plays .....the chromonica 2 is more of a collectors item than anything that I would actually play. For a beginner I recommend a Seydel deluxe or a Suzuki Scx
@@kenLeiboff hey Ken thanks for the offer. I have done quite a bit of work on this guy now. Learning by doing and all that. I have a question about it though, if you have the time of course. The chromonica ii deluxe is missing the linking wire that hooks the slide button to the actual slide. I figure I will have to fabricate my own but I have nothing to go off of. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Cody Carroll I have a complete chromonica lol for parts. $15 plus postage. Email me if you are interested kleiboff@me.com . Is also have one in excellent playing condition with good case for $60

My grandfather bought it in the late 70's, but I am afraid I can't tell you exactly when or where it was.
