That should be a simple job to do, if that's the only problem I think you are in luck. The fact that there's no rust in the floor, it is a testament of the high build quality of the car. I am really impressed. The skywindow concept was very innovative at that time and it was the percursor for larger glass roof surfaces - like the luminosity inside the car, it makes everything look much happier. Excellent job Mark in rescueing such car! On top of that, that's a truly eco friendly mission as we should make sure that we take as much life out of products as one can.
Thanks! Yes that will be the solution for it to start but i am going to take the whole car apart and sandblast , paint & clean it. Keeping the cost as low as possible.
The car should be galvanised and if it has no rust, I wonder if sandblasting could reduce the factory quality. On another note, the leather seats and trim looks very good but do you know how to address the creases and marks left by stuff (wheels, trims etc) that marked the leather?
@@nunesaf I only sandblast the loose parts like the engine mounts . bolts , hubs etc. The car has been galvanized/sink bath so no need to do that. Chassis will be cleaned and the small parts will be blasted/painted. Did the same on my Schumacher.
Part 1 is here! 💥
