I'm sure he definitely would! There's clearly enough changes in the Berkley turbo shrimp to be able to put out a similar product ornit wouldn't of gone in production. But yes I guess if Berkley were giving you a boat/ money a year to fish I'm sure there would be pros that would be comfortable with that and wouldn't want to risk losing it all and make a little video of dummy spitting and throwing there lures in the bin 🤣

Not entirely with you on the issue of one Aussie in it and we’re all in it together, actually think some can be incredibly facile and small minded. I just caught my p.b. Flathead in my local. At Forster, a 94 cm model, so you can imagine very pleased. Anyway I’ve heard that my Flattie photo has been doing the rounds online, at the homepage of the local Dive Club, ie scuba. Anyway there’s been a bit of unfavourable backlash, apparently a few jealous types have been saying I kept the fish and killed it for the table. This is not the case, took photos and immediately sent it back, I can’t imagine why people would say such things, especially as there was no indication that I killed it. Sent it straight back, and it swam off strongly, yeeeeew!!!

im not a massive berkeley fan but if you do this with there product do it with all that copy cat, the bait junkie range is a great example of exactly the same thing berkeley did. make some slight changes and call them there own. i understand the emotion with a little aussie company getting done over but this is how the whole industry works no matter who they are.
Berkley also did a knock off of Megabass's Dark Sleeper called the Agent E Swimbait, this company has no integrity what so ever. Sure it was slightly different as is the Gulp Shrimp with an extra leg but an obvious rip off. Berkley is owned by Sycamore Partners which is a $10 Billion company. I hope Holt Production had a patent on their design and even if Holt Production has a patent, they would need a lot a money to sue this lot in the States. I believe he is just a backyard business and maybe a Go Fund Me needs to be set up to help him out if that's the way he wants to go.

If I gave it all away most of those plastic lures would end up in the waterway, tangling birds, turtles, rusting away damaging the ecosystem. Yes it's not nice in the landfill but most of the products were gulp and will decompose after time( a very long time I know) trust me Grant if I could rid the world of plastic and the destruction of everything 7.7 billion people have done I would! But unfortunately people are a destructive species that will be the end of the world. Greed, selfishness, money, and power runs everything and it's getting worse and worse. I understand where u are coming from.. but i have a question for you. You said berkley have been copying for a while now... the bent minnow, the jackall n so on... (dunno bout other previous)... You were FINE to still purchase and support berkley. But when they do it to aussie company.. you boycott them (it is a boycott when you choose not to buy anymore. Just like players boycotting games, by not attending. People not buying cage eggs n going "free range"). Is it JUST because its an aussie company.. I guess copying the Holt prawn was the final straw... also I did find Berkley lures not as good quality as others ( yes cheaper so that's the market they target) don't get me wrong they still work and for you're average lure fisho they will get you through but for me I didn't agree with copying a small lure making company. Sure the bigger companies do and will always copy or make there own versions of a lure that's business at the end of the day. Bigger companies can make more products for a cheaper price that's the main reason I've decided to support the smaller companies and also really high end Japanese lure makers ( also point of difference that not as many fishos use more expensive lures) I also buy free range eggs haha I support the things I believe in like anyone else follow you're heart and what you believe in that's my motto. Mate we are all entitled to our own opinion that's the joy of free will. Yes I agree Berkley have been around for a very long time and have done alot for fishing and help develop the sport that's for sure! I am definitely not boycotting the company I am just expressing my thoughts and opinions and it's completely my decision to choose not to use there products and some people agree and some don't. I didn't make this video to make it a big deal or try to change anything etc just me being me and standing by what I believe in is right. It made me feel better about myself and that's what it's all about. But I definitely appreciate any opinions and feedback. ps I'm talking about the new turbo shrimp that haven't been released into Australia yet the shimmer prawn is a completely different product and that's not the product I'm talking about in this video. You said berkley have been copying for a while now... the bent minnow, the jackall n so on... (dunno bout other previous)...
You were FINE to still purchase and support berkley.
But when they do it to aussie company.. you boycott them (it is a boycott when you choose not to buy anymore. Just like players boycotting games, by not attending. People not buying cage eggs n going "free range").
Is it JUST because its an aussie company.. OR is it because they copy other lures, that you have cracked the shyts with them? 🤔

I guess copying the Holt prawn was the final straw... also I did find Berkley lures not as good quality as others ( yes cheaper so that's the market they target) don't get me wrong they still work and for you're average lure fisho they will get you through but for me I didn't agree with copying a small lure making company. Sure the bigger companies do and will always copy or make there own versions of a lure that's business at the end of the day. Bigger companies can make more products for a cheaper price that's the main reason I've decided to support the smaller companies and also really high end Japanese lure makers ( also point of difference that not as many fishos use more expensive lures) I also buy free range eggs haha I support the things I believe in like anyone else follow you're heart and what you believe in that's my motto. @w0lfm4n43 that's my theory! Tho throwing $40 lures into snags for bream and bass does get a bit nail biting and hurts when you lose them but I think the point of difference is worth it!

Unfortunately alot if people use there products. But everyone is different. There lures work! Just not overly inventive!

The Berkley Shimmer prawn/shrimp was designed by Micheal Guest. He has done lots for the fishing community and is Aussie as much as you are... I don’t stand with you completely on this one for one reason. perhaps "Boycot the Berkely products Designed By the Americans not Designed by the Aussies". Have you thought about reaching out to Micheal Guest dude?
Mate we are all entitled to our own opinion that's the joy of free will. Yes I agree Berkley have been around for a very long time and have done alot for fishing and help develop the sport that's for sure! I am definitely not boycotting the company I am just expressing my thoughts and opinions and it's completely my decision to choose not to use there products and some people agree and some don't. I didn't make this video to make it a big deal or try to change anything etc just me being me and standing by what I believe in is right. It made me feel better about myself and that's what it's all about. But I definitely appreciate any opinions and feedback. ps I'm talking about the new turbo shrimp that haven't been released into Australia yet the shimmer prawn is a completely different product and that's not the product I'm talking about in this video. But like I said we are all entitled to our say! And obviously there's enough changes in the designs to get the " go ahead" or it wouldn't be approved. Their lures are inferior also they make lures to compete woth other brands but fail in the most important factors. I will be boycotting them 100% and telling all my fishing friends to do the same!

I agree with you but one thing that I thought was if Holt Productions wants to grow they have to have products available, I'm trying to buy the Holt Prawns for at least 4 months and It's always out of stock 🥲
I agree they could definitely have more stock! The only way I get them is to get straight into there site the night they drop them and buy them straight away.... Because they aren't available all the time alot of guys( including myself) bulk buy so we have them haha
