I always hear that browns are more difficult to catch than rainbows, but i catch way more browns. How is one type harder to catch and why do I catch more of the "harder" to catch fish? I fish big Thompson and Poudre regularly.
I wish the city had less limits... As soon as cpw stocks within the week...no more trout. It sucks i live in denver and can only fish for bass cuz thats all thats really around
Mark, Most of Colorado's reservoirs do not have the habitat and water conditions (inlets) necessary for natural reproduction. And, of those species that are able to reproduce naturally, recruitment (the number of juvenile fish that actually survive to be added to a population) is too low to support recreational angling. Without operations like these and ongoing stocking, most of Colorado's waters could not support self-sustaining populations of fish -- N. Delaney included. Sadly,it wouldn't happen, loss of spawning grounds and other factors. If they did successfully spawn, there certainly wouldn't be a viable fishery. We outnumber our prey, not to mention massive egg loss through natural processes.
Thank you CPW for the work you do to conserve our fisheries. Such a great video!
Thank you for you service!
Thanks you for service
Great video. Thank you for the education and all of the hard work to keep brown trout in our great outdoors!
I’m sure I have caught some of your CO Browns! So thank you!! Great video and thanks for the education.
Heck yeah! Keep up the great work CPW!
That is awesome, good info, great job, keep it up
Why not just let them spawn naturally in the lake?
if only big browns existed anywhere on the northern front range besides the south platte
Good work lady and gents

So the obvious question is why don't we let the me natural process of fertilization occur free of human intervention?
