that was an awesome run with your new Rustler bud ..like that car alot ..have 2 older Rustlers for few years now and run great ..very durable ..few drive shafts go out once in while but still lot of fun
When I saw that Traxxas made an Ultimate version of the Rustler 4x4, I had to get one! It is different than the Slash 4x4 Ultimate but I really like it 😊
Looks absolutely awesome. My Rustler 4x4 VXL is all decked out almost the same spec as the new ultimate, so i may get the new body and tires and fully convert it to the ultimate. Great vid man!
Got mine first day it was out. Not a single issue out the box. Well spent $520….. on the other hand bought the sledge and XRT when they came out and both needed upgrades or something fixed after 1st run. Ran the new rustler ultimate 4 times now without a single issue 😎😎
I bought one of these as an alternative to what I currently run. I wanted a light weight yet fast and durable smaller truck that is stable. The Al upgrades make this truck worth it. The only thing I will need are fans and maybe some proline trenchers at some point.
Got several 3s models on my hobby room. None of them cost me more than 290 EUR. And the overal quality is higher with no throttle sticking, overheat, melted spur bearing adapter, tsm glitching, plastic gears servo, non threaded plastic shocks, stupid battery connectors, awfuly cheap transmitter... All those "little" details and some more. The list goes on.
@@nemesis8664 sounds like haven’t been lucky with Traxxas cars. By experience, Traxxas has the most durable cars because they flex. instead of break. But yes, you have to upgrade parts if you want to bash hard.
@LyroLife the reason I love the Ultimate edition trucks are because they are already heavily upgraded. Fans on the motor and esc and thicker differential fluid will be good for awhile 😉
all about the fun of the hobby ..anything you buy now a days is very pricey ..not going to get away from it ..look at the price of gas and new real vehicles ..now thats really over priced
Way too much. $529 for a 3s vehicle? That’s $200 more than the Arrma granite! Trust me I’m not a traxxas hater. I’ve had traxxas almost exclusively since 1998 when I bought my first traxxas car, the nitro sport. I also have from 1998 the nitro stampede, from 2006 the jato 3.3, and from 2007 the Revo 3.3. I’ve always had traxxas and have always been satisfied. But recently I bought the XRT and talk about buyers REMORSE! I’m am SO easy on my RC cars. Because I know if they break, I gotta shell out money to repair them. I’ve had tires on the XRT peel off because the glue job was inferior. I had a front A arm crack in 2 places, a suspension pin shatter, and a drive shaft bend from hitting a tree going 25mph off the trigger trying to slow down. I’ve never had any buyers remorse on anything traxxas I’d ever purchased until the XRT. For $1000 that thing is way too fragile! As cool and awesome as that rustler ultimate you bought is, I’ll stick with my 4s Arrma outcast that’s way more durable and cost $60 less than the 3s rustler ultimate. Traxxas prices have gotten outta control compared to comparable RC vehicles from other manufacturers that are just as durable, if not more durable, than traxxas. Just my opinions. That new rustler does look really awesome. But at that price, no thanks traxxas.
Inflation mate cars not getting more expensive your $s is becoming worth less that’s what happens when they continually print money that’s not backed with gold
@@shannonspear8751 you’re not wrong. However I do have to disagree about considering traxxas higher prices being caused by inflation. Traxxas across the board is more expensive than everyone else lately. I love their products. Trust me I do. I still own a ton of their cars from past and present. But in this current economy, I’m looking for good cost effective fun. Many other companies with comparable RC’s to traxxas, their prices are much more reasonable. I was able to buy the 3s Arrma Granite, and also their new 2s, 2wd Gorgon monster truck. And combined, they were $30 less, than just Traxxas new ultimate Rustler. But that’s just my personal opinion. 😊 There’s plenty of people who may think differently, and will still buy traxxas, and it will make them happy 😊 And I will give props where they’re due. That new Rustler does look extremely well built, and fast as heck. Looks like it handles fantastic at high speeds on pavement. And seems very stable. But in this economy guys like me are looking to stretch the dollar. If I can get 2 comparable Arrma for the price of 1 traxxas, that makes me happy. 😁 At the end of the day, nobody’s wrong if what they spend their money on makes them happy. I’m having fun with my toys, and I hope you guys are having fun with yours. 😎 I hope everyone has an amazing Thanksgiving day, tomorrow. Love family, and be sure to drive your RC’s together. 🏆
Nice rig and as long as your happy and have a smile on your face , thats what counts !

The only things I have added are Yeah Racing fans to the motor and esc since I run 3s. It has been a solid truck 🚚

You bought a Rustler VXL or Ultimate?
new sub! that was a perfect run.
Thank you 😁
Sounds good 👍
Thank you 😊
Traxxas Ultimate editions are great value. I own a Slash 4X4 Ultimate myself, but to me this is a Mini XRT.
I love all of the aluminum upgrades it has ❤
Awesome,i have one that im converting to Vxl-6s
Looks dope I have the maxx
Thank you😊
Cool
Hey I have a question does it come with the battery +65 MPH or you have to buy battery and charger separately
Battery and charger are sold separately.
mine doesn't do wheelies like that and I have the exact same ! 3s traxxas battery too, any ideas?
I recommend you tighten the slipper clutch. That should make it so she will do wheelies!
I had one of those she had a max8 system and ran 4s and stone me was she fast 🇬🇧
She will eventually get a Mamba X esc and motor 😊
That car shouldn't cost more than $350 for a 3s
I respect your opinion.

The 3S Arrma Vorteks alone still blows that Rustler Ultimate out of the water.

Not me, I will buy a fully loaded Rustler Ultimate anyway.

Overpriced. Just buy a MAXX
wont you eventually need to upgrade the maxx? how much will that cost?
Bad idea, buddy. You just wasted your money. Enjoy it as long as it doesn't give you problems (it won't take long, don't worry).
It has almost all of the same parts as the Traxxas Slash 4x4 Ultimate. I have had no problems with those. Been running them for twelve years now.
The heck are you talking about? This is one durable truck.
I have run it several times now. I have had one serious problem every time. The battery eventually runs down 😂
@@ElSob94803 ah yes.
