- Опубліковано 4 жов 2023
- In this very special HardLore episode that's the first of its kind, Colin and Bo spent an eventful day in Manchester, United Kingdom and put it all together into one great big deluxe video presentation, featuring three chapters...
Chapter I: They walked through Manchester with Jimmy Wizard, Higher Power's vocalist prior to Outbreak Fest 2023 and learned about Jimmy's entry into hardcore, Higher Power's evolution as a band, and much more.
Chapter II: They sampled the apparent best of the best iced coffee that Manchester has to offer.
Chapter III: They toured the menu at a British McDonald's and compared it to what they're used to at home.

The Manchester worker bee is one of the best-known symbols of Manchester and has been an emblem for the city for over 150 years.
The bee denotes Mancunians' hard work ethic and the city being a hive of activity.
It has also come to represent the sense of unity in our great city.
Hardlore be thy name
Thy Lore is Hard
The first 5 tracks of 27 Miles Underwater is an insane run. Super stoked for this episode.
First 5? At least 6, passenger is one of their best tracks! 😂
Agreed, Drag The Line is a heavily underrated closer as well.
Great timing! Just came home kinda bummed from a camping trip.
I burnt my last marshmallow
🎶🎶🎶HARD S'MORE🎶🎶🎶🎸

Never heard of this dude or band. Thank you for spreading the word. Probably one of the best 90's influenced modern bands I've heard
Yep, they're incredible.
Abolition was popping off when I lived in London. Shit was hard.
36:48, No matter where you are in the world, whatever city or country, you can guarantee that Onslaught - Power From Hell record will be right in the front of the punk/metal section of any record store.
Not the crumb of mcflurry biscoff on Colin's chin the whole last 3 minutes of this episode. Bo didn't help ya boi
You can SEE him looking down at it and not tell me about it…. Scum

The "A little too.. East Germany for me.." off the cuff was crazy 😂
Jimmy is the MAN. Super nice guy who makes fantastic music. Need a follow up to 27 Miles Underwater, lads!
What a saga! I laughed, I cried, I got hungry and I cried again. Truly groundbreaking journalistic work with a guide who clearly knew everything there is to know about ol' Manchester.
Mina Freat
So surreal seeing my city here. Sad I didn't get to say hi to you's on the first day of Outbreak but I did see you guys while I was queuing to get in

Can't believe you got a southerner to show you around.

Manchester Bees: Industrial area - busy as a bee.
The flurry machine used to be there, but with the reduction of plastic use, no longer being used.
as a 13th generation South Carolinan it's hardlore time
starting the 1st ever straight edge stoner gang who with me
I’m up for that
Just wanna point out I got a Jet’s Pizza ad during this 🫡
The British vernacular continues to bemuse me. I’d only say “you good?” if I was genuinely concerned about someone’s health and safety. But between this and the Chubby episode I feel extremely educated on the intricacies of British culture.
Also Bo describing the foundation coffee as milk reminds me of a traumatic experience in which I asked for a black iced coffee at Tim Hortons and they gave me what I can only describe as a glass of milk
Bo, what is the overshirt/jacket/shirt? I love that color.
That "andlema" tank is dope
Check out Hawkesmoor next time you're manchester. Beautiful place, locally sourced meats, and a killer burger. Definitely one of the best examples of a british steakhouse done right.
But if you just want a big dumbass burger head to Burgerism in Escape To Freight Island, it fucking GOES
the caesar wraps are good
✊🏾
The grandest of wizard's. 😂😂😂
10/10
Can't believe there was nothing about Satan's Hallow
What was the guy’s shirt!!
31:00 Iron Maiden in the Top5 of that discussion
Living for the Foundation Coffee slander
For the people interested in the origin of the bee-symbol:
"The bee is the symbol of Manchester and this city of industry is rightly proud of its link with the hard-working insect. In 1842, the early city fathers had to decide on a coat of arms that would tell the world who we were. It was a Victorian branding exercise. They included a globe with seven bees to show how we worked and traded across the seven seas. The Manchester bee was born of industry.
Manchester’s bee is a worker bee, reflecting a city made by the workers; made by the people, not a city that has grown from royal patronage or easy natural resources. Mancunians have worked hard to make this place thrive.
The standard bee on our street furniture has been around since the 1970s but most of our bees are 19th century creations. Bee-spotting is a good way to spend time in the city. When you’re strolling the streets, look up, look around and you’ll see them everywhere.3
Did you go see Salfords Lad Club, and Morrissey's old home?
my dad was spitting facts about tears for fears, shit changed me when i finally realized he was right
Now I gotta get McDonald’s after work
“A little too east Germany for me” is crazy
Nobody noticed the Subway behind them
Fellas, the key to black iced americanos is going to a place that has single origin beans. Trust a former cold brewman who drinks these consistently now.
HARDLORE HATES LITTER. Didn't think I could love you dudes more.
25:10 anyone have that clip?

You could try being less dumb? It's really easy to understand accents if you aren't a total dummy
McDonaldsaur
It’s not hard to be Edge in the UK at all 😂 the culture has no bearing on it, it’s down to the person.
Personally ill never understand why brits claim nandos as their own haha, we have it in aus too it was in like most of asia and afrrica before them haha
though in saying that, jimmy fucking rules
"Birmingham is a sad place" I take offence to that
Paprika is not made out of bell pepper…
Work of art destroying the McDonalds wraps. They are truly awful, part of the problem is the chicken "selects" could be cardboard and they would taste the same
70$ worth of McDonald’s isn’t bad at all 😂.
next episode rob a bank and film it
the gap tooth killer
No sauce except ketchup….violation of taste smh. Condiments make the food.
Yeah that threw me, how tf is he eating nandos 4 times a week and he's never tried any of their sauces?
bell peppers are astringent trash
Manchester isn't nowhere near as good as it was in the 80/90s.
Eating at McDonald is one of the most unpunk things you can do. Being a carnivore and edge is an oxymoron. McDonald’s is worse for you than smoking weed. Buncha posers.
Found the burger king burner account
When Beau missed the props 😂😂😂😂😂
