    can you calculate BMI (so if somebody gives their height and weight) on manychat?

      Yes! Just create three custom fields in Manychat: One for body, one for weight and one for BMI. Make sure the type of all fields is "Number".
      Then, just ask their information using the Data Collection module. And then use an action to do the calculation for BMI.

    Hi, Joren! Thank you so much for this video! For people who are starting to learn manychat this is useful.
    I just have a question. Why do you recommend the "All post/ Reels" option? and just duplicate it whenever there's a need to use many chat? And also, I am using my keywords across all of my manychat if I turned it on at the same time will I have any problem?

      I recommend using "All Posts/Reels" so you can create one automation and use that in multiple posts in reels. Otherwise, you go with one post/reel and you need to duplicate the same automation multiple times (aka more work).
      As long as the keywords aren't similar, you can turn them on without any problems.

      They have similar keywords. So, I will have a problem if they are turned on the same time?
      Same thing when they are going to message me directly with the keywords I put will manychat have any problem sending the links?

      Yes, that's possible! Just create a new automation. The trigger of that automation should be "User sends a message", and then set it to "message contains thank you". Hope this helps!

Zou manychat ook een TAG kunnen meesturen naar bijvoorbeeld ActiveCampaign? Op die manier kan ik een apart segment maken van de Contacts die via Manychat komen. Heb je daar een tutorial over?       Op dit moment kan de directe integratie in Manychat met ActiveCampaign geen tag toevoegen. Wat je wel kan doen is mensen toevoegen aan een lijst.
      En in ActiveCampaign kan je dan een automatisering instellen dat als iemand wordt toegevoegd aan een lijst, dat diegene een bepaalde tag krijgt.

    What is the purpose of asking for their email if you're also going to provide the link? Don't you need to connect Manychat with something like Zappier so that when they give their email it will send it directly and subscribe them to your list? Also is that legal to ask them for their email list without notifying them that they are agreeing to subscribe to your email list?

    Great video. Can I ask if its ok to take people off instagram to my website to sign up on a form that then goes into my funnel where say an ebook is delivered to them? That way their contact details go into my crm. Or is it better (but fiddly) to capture their name and email in instagram and send it to a google sheet? Where I will then have to manually enter it into my crm.

      Hey Kate! I don't recommend sending anyone to a landing page. Landing pages only convert at 5%, while Chat Funnels (like the one in this video) convert at 50% or higher. I recommend asking their information in the DMs and then sending it to your CRM via an integration.

      Yes, you can use direct Amazon links. But I always recommend using buttons instead of direct links.

      To each message in Manychat, you can add a button. Add a button to the message and select the action "Opens website". Then add the Amazon link there.

    Hey Joren! I don't want to complicate my client's task. So I think it's more simple to leave the conversation “open”. That way, she won't have to touch the settings. If we do it this way, I'll leave the initial settings in "Live Chat behavior" as they are? Do I need to to setup a "notify" action or not necessary? What do you think?

      Yes, then you can leave the initial live chat settings as they are. You can also setup a notify action as well, if you want your client to be notified of new messages.

      @@chatimize ​ @chatimize Ok thank you. I have 2 flows with trigger "User comments on your post": I've tested on my client FB page, as myself who comment, it worked the first time. For the second word (flow), it didn't, maybe because my client replied in direct. If so, I will have to tell her not to answer and let the bot do. Or it might be because of the 24H window. Let's wait until tomorrrow.

    nice video.. but the way you showed is to reply or send guide for all your posts. i have seen creators send different guides or ebooks for each post seperatly. so how to set customize different replies for each seperate post? do we need to just use "new automation" each time?

      1. Go to Settings > Integrations
      2. Scroll to Convert Kit and connect to your ConvertKit account
      3. Go to the automation where you want to add people to Convertkit
      4. Add an Action -> Convertkit.

    I just commented on a creators video who uses manychat. His first automated
    message was ‘You need to follow this account.’ With an ‘I follow’ button.
    I clicked on ‘I follow’ button, but I wasn’t following the account. I instantly received a message that ‘You’re not following the account’
    How can you set this up?

      Yes, it is! I generally recommend using the Manychat App to answer your DMs, because you can also pause automations, send flows and more.

    Please tell me, I set up a reply to a comment, but the bot sends a link to the account only once, if a person comments on the same post a second time, the bot no longer sends a message.

      This is the way Instagram comment automation works. It only replies to the first comment of a user, per post.

    Hello Joren, i want to ask if a user don't provide us email and leave the conversation so we want to send him a follow up message after 10 minutes which contain a message with 2 buttons one is Whatsapp link and other is a calandly link ,what are the steps for this and if user didn't respond to our follow up message then we want to send the same message after 30 minutes . please guide me its urgent

    what if you link your mailchimp landing page on the automation, when you send your lead a freebie, do you still have to add the action in the automation for MailChimp adding the email to your list ? thanks

      I wouldn't recommend sending them to a landing page. A landing page has a conversion of 5%, while a Chat Funnel has a conversion of 50%. So ask for their name + email in the Chat Funnel and then deliver the freebie in the Chat Funnel. That will give you better results.

    I have a quick question, does the 24 hour limit also apply to the Live chat you mentioned? Or does it just apply to Broadcast messages And I can message the contacts anytime I like

      Nope, it only applies to automated messages. With the Live Chat, you have a 7-day window to reply to questions from users. Important = you should use this 7-day window to answer questions that were already asked, and not promote anything.

    for auto replying in Instagram posts the quickreply is blocked. Error message: Quick Replies can be added only after Text block without Buttons for the Instagram channel

      Then you might be using both buttons and quick replies in one message, which is not allowed. Either use quick replies or use buttons, but not both.

    Ski story replies, dont skip story replies...? Which one is it??

      If your story replies are mostly simple (like emojis), I would skip it. If people are asking questions often after seeing a story, you can choose to not skip it.

    Hey I reached my 1000contact limit for many chat in like 2 days and now it no longer sends dms as reply’s to my comments, if I remove all the contacts will it fix this? Or do I have to pay for a pro account, please let me know

      You need to pay for Pro. Removing the contacts doesn't have any effect on a free plan. But, when you are on the Pro plan you can remove contacts to lower your Manychat bill. If you don't see "Rules" in your Automation section, please go to Settings > Display and enable it. Hope this helps!

      There is currently a Meta Problem going on, that you can see here: status.manychat.com/. I think you can avoid this problem by using a quick reply instead of a button.
