- Just WOW! The Atlas surprised me on the lanes with how well it continued through the pins consistently from every angle. That is not something you typically see from a high end solid asymmetrical ball. Very special.
With the help of SPECTO data, it'll help tell the story about reaction shape, overall hook and continuation through the pins. Here are the SPECTO data points used and definition of each term:
Ball Speed - Speed measured off the hand.
Rev Rate - Revolutions Per Minute (RPM)
Launch Angle - The angle the ball traveled the first 10 feet.
Break Point Position - Board at which the ball was at its outermost position.
Total Hook - Total number of boards the ball crosses on the way to the pins.
Hook Power - Number of boards the ball hooked based on the True Breakpoint.
Entry Angle - The angle of the ball between 51 and 55 feet.
Impact Angle - The angle of the ball between 57 and 59.5 feet.
Pin Deck Exit - Ball position at the end of the pin deck.
The Columbia 300 Atlas is available starting 07.13.2023.

What's not to like? Columbia 300 has some awesome releases lately, and I hope they get rewarded by the bowling customers for their excellent products.
That ball is insane! It just wants to finish strong the deeper you got!!! Something to seriously consider! Thanks Nick!
Wow wow God has finally Blessed 😇 you
Very continuous for a big ball! The+ flipblock is the key. Thanks again Nick!
This ball looked exceptionally good. A direct Track Paragon replacement.
Love the speed. Need to get a Top Speed and complete the trio with the Atlas.
Ah oh! My Black Widow 2.0 solid might want to get nervous! Slammin' review Nick.
Another amazing informative review. Lot's to think about when building an arsenal for my son this Fall. Thank you.
Thanks for the feedback! Any help I can be, let me know. 👍🏻
This ball looks LEGIT. I'd love for you to quickly review the Brutal Collision, maybe even compare the two!
The core reminds me of the resurgence core; a modified version of it. However, I might be tempted to give the ball less surface (4000) if playing right of center. I noticed a lot of deflection on half pocket hits, even when the 10-pin got kicked out. These shots occurred when you were right of center at the arrows. Less surface might help when playing the lanes this way. Thanks for the review!
Lane 2 is notorious for having kind of a bad rack sometimes. You don’t see a lot of light mixers or half pockets carry because the 1-3 pocket is a little off. In a lot of videos I’ll even take a re rack.
SQUEEZE caught me off guard 😂
Mr. Throwbot, what is your target on the lane? Enjoying all your videos and it keeps me throwing all brands of balls. Probably even more towards Brunswick brands because of price. Keep 'em coming. Looking forward to the Quantum Evo Asym Hybrid and Katana Strike. :)
I usually set my eyes at the dots before the arrows.
That shot to the 3 board wasn't out the window...it was out the door. Usually when that happens I try to reel it in with an imaginary fishing rod.
I think the big difference is the fact the RG is a little higher that most high end asyms and I like the direction the companies are going in with this (similar to the new Hellcat XLR8). IMO, and I could be wrong; but I think if you have high end asyms that are more 2.47/.054/.016; it makes them not as versatile unless the covers are really clean for the first 25 feet or so. Take the Speed for instance. Same cover as the Atlas yet not sure the Speed would be as good as the Atlas playing 4th-5th arrow.
I like what I’m seeing. I’m looking for a replacement for my Gem which I don’t match up with. I also like the Track Archetype.
5 shot challenge with mindset, archetype, and atlas
You rolled it well even with damaged goods (lol, jk). Good looking ball.
How would you compare the Atlas to the Track Archetype and Track Paragon Solid?
Seems a touch cleaner than the archetype, maybe not as aggressive but similar motion. Haven’t thrown paragon but should be cleaner more flip.
How would this compare to the Radical Innovator Solid?
A little sharper off the spot with more intermediate diff and higher RG.
Would be nice if bowlero where I bowl knew how to put oil on the lanes.
Agree w this sentiment. Lanes are rough for sure at Bowlero by me
The last 2 shots Look really good. Bp 7, Ea 3.73, Ia 7.59
Split 8/9.
What layout, same lane conditions, that ball if possible, bp 9-12,
Entry angle 3-4,
Impact angle 3-5
Split 8/9?
Likely not probable to happen. You need more impact angle to split the 8-9 consistently. If the impact angle is too close to the entry angle, it’s generally rolling forward at the pocket.
@@brunsnick I understand, thanks.
I’ve been waiting for you with this ball. 0:40
4:35 grabbed it didn’t look bad,Nick! Hey BN, what do you think about this ball being hit with a 5k TCP and then a compound polish on top like a hybrid since it looks like it takes off no matter where your at. 9:41 Damn Man 25 to 7 bang, this ball is awesome. Last Q the core looks great and the top of it would that be like a flip core? Thank BN for another awesome video
I always say try it out of box and adjust however you like after for the stuff you bowl on. I’d never say yes to any particular surface because it could change week to week.
I ordered 1 this past Saturday. I haven’t the faintest idea how we gonna drill it.
Cool video talk to tech bowling bowling ball coulubia 300 atlas bowling ball with dynamic core technology in the bowling ball more strike and spare hitting power at time brunsnick
Hey Nick, do you think the Atlas being a big asym solid would be a good pairing for a bowler like me who is speed dominant/low rev player?
Yes, just keep the surface dull. 👍🏻
@brunsnick thank you very much, man! This video was key for me. Ordered my Atlas. Very excited for when it arrives
The pin down really worked on my( 40 × 4.5 x 75)Katana Assault, should I drill this pin down also?
Might be a little bit too much cover strength for you with your roll.
never drill pin down, you are removing part of the core you paid for.
@@greenmachine6146 That is just incorrect. Pin down actually removes less of the core.
I'm a Columbia 300 guy. I wasn't too keen on the speed, but this looks awesome. The first few shots you threw, the down and in one's, is the exact line I play. Loved the roll and reaction on this one.
How can you tell the amount of flare by oil rings.
Eyeball the distance from the first flare ring to the last and take note of the separation between the oil rings
Atlas vs archetype
Which would be the stronger heavy oil ball Columbia 300 Atlas or the new DV8 Hellcat XLR8
I think XLR8 is a little stronger. At least for me.
If the Atlas turns out to be, meh...u go, hey, Atlas...Shrug
im torn between this and the high speed, looking for something asym, in the power torq. range
Very different covers and shapes. Atlas is more like the Power Torq solid and shape.
awesome thank you so much
