If you're gonna buy a KTM ADV 390, I'd rather you save up a ₹2 lac more and buy a Honda CB500X instead. A better refined twin cylinder 478cc engine, 800 mm of accessible seat height, low kerb weight, better space for the pillion, and even with all that, it still manages to somehow dish out 35 km/L in city roads! (30-32 km/L in bumper-to-bumper traffic) Granted, you have to change the cushioning of the seat to make it less rigid and it's gauge cluster isn't as informative as the one on the Duke, but Honda's reliability is totally worth it.
People who buy an adv 390 .... They either buy it for pride or love n maybe for adv touring so they rather prefer to keep that 2 lakhs for their trips n have more fun without any compromise.... Obviously cb is better but not worth it... As much as ktm cz of parts availability issues after sale services.... Many more.

@@shabaazkhan5229 Yes, that's also true, but I don't think people buy KTMs for any other reason than it being KTM, which in simpler terms, being a fan! KTM bikes are for people who are happy to go down, get dirty, spill blood, sweat and tears to perfect the machine. They are also generally people who have expansive knowledge of motor parts and tuning. KTMs are projects, not end products.
Since most people in our country aren't really that invested in understanding the core of their respective vehicles, I think going the Honda way is best for them. Honda is like the iPhone of the bike and car world - which is both a good thing and a bad thing! For the general consensus, it means being carefree about what they have, not needing to delve in any futher, but for others, me included, it means I can't modify it the way I can modify an Android! Not as easily as a KTM, at least.
@@shrishailsh I've heard about the ridiculous prices of vehicles in the South!😢 Did you know that the base model of the Honda CB350RS is just ₹2.31 lac on road in my place, Guwahati? I hear that it can go as much as ₹2.8 lac, in Kerala according to UA-cam comments! Why is there so much variation in prices? That's just unfair.

Cannot believe Suzuki ahead of Himalayan, one of the most important thing is suspension comfort and ground clearance, my brothers got both Suzuki vstorm and Himalayan I have used both , am using meteor now, as an off-roader cum tourer Himalayan at that price point is the best choice, it's more comfortable than vstorm, we storm got stiffer back suspension comparing to Himalayan lower ground clearance too , one more thing seat height of Himalayan is 800mm, lower than vstorm so Himalayan is the winner

If i had to choose between two i would go for VStrom RE has too much problems and a higher weight increased fuel consumption and most prominent RE engines aren’t refined and also have reliability issues ………RE in 80’s and 90’s were different but currently they are overrated

Dude ur sooo wrong.... First of all v-strome at first number? Are you serious? That place belong to either Himalayan or KTM 390 adv. Second x-pulse must be in top three and u put it last. And ktm 250adv in top 7 list? It has the worst suspension setup of all. It isn't in top 10 indian advs. Also u didn't include BMW 310GS. It has best ride quality of all. Again v strome 250 at top? It isn't even ADV that bike is sports tourer. The top order should be like
1) KTM 390 adv/ BMW 310gs
2) X-PULSE (Because its low price, weight, hassle free owing experience and amazing ride quality)
3) Himalayan ( Obviously )
And still there are many bikes which are better than ur picks....

@@sharvay9180 you can go for Scrambler or Cafe racer bikes. RE, Honda, Zontes, Keeway has some really good options. Harley Davidson is also coming up with new 350 bike. Check your budget and service availability in your city and then you can make a final decision.
