It's been real cold right now where I'm at in Fort Worth Texas I have to dig up twenty bucks somewhere too far off my propane heater so I can go take my saddlebags off thanks for the info on this video man you're the best
Great videos....I was one of the top techs for the goldwing owners club in UK back in the 80/90s so enjoyed your vids big time but was hard to watch as you did not know the tricks..........looking forward to the rest of this series
Yeah, this build was totally a DIY sabbatical, figure it out as you go, fun puzzle thing. I know more than when I started, but still don't know many tricks :) Glad you are enjoying it!
Although late to your build party, I have really been enjoying watching you work through the process of tearing down this Wing. What method do you use to keep all the hardware (fasteners) sorted so as to have them ready for reinstallation? I've got a '79' GW, one of three that I've owned, that is ready for a project like this. Also, did you sell the parts that you removed, or just scrap 'em?
Good luck with your build. I like to reinstall fasteners whenever possible so that they are where they are supposed to go. If that's not feasible, I use labeled bags. And I did sell the excess parts - for $70 - not much of a market for GW parts, it turns out 😀
I did. Are you looking for some? When I was building my wing, I went to this place and they had a number of Goldwing parts: www.nobullusedmotorcycleparts.com If I recall correct, the owner's name is Bob.
