Kagoshima in early spring(1976)

This video was taken in January 1976 when the Pinecone Japanese family went on a trip to Kagoshima.
January is a cold month in Japan, but spring flowers were in full bloom in Kagoshima, a southern country in Japan.
Cross the Osumi Peninsula to the Satsuma Peninsula by ferry and head to the lighthouse at Cape Nagasakibana.
It also captures the couple enjoying their date.
Take a commemorative photo with your family against the background of Mt. Kaimondake, also known as Satsuma Fuji, and visit "Nagasakibana Parking Garden".
We enjoyed animal shows and subtropical plants at "Nagasakibana Parking Garden".
For lunch, we ate at a restaurant by Lake Ikeda, and at that time, Taro, Jiro, and Hanako tried sugarcane for the first time at a gift shop.
We took a ferry from Kagoshima city to Sakurajima, saw the majestic smoking Sakurajima up close, and headed home.

昔は指宿が新婚旅行で訪れるカップルが多かったらしいですが、最近は訪れる方も減り、池田湖はお店もかなりなくなっています。もうモーターボートの観覧はやっていないです。

私は小学生時代、鹿児島に住んでいましたので今回の動画、とても懐かしく嬉しく思います。　長崎鼻パーキングガーデンにフラミンゴいましたね!
桜島フェリーにホバークラフトがあったのは初めて見ました。
改装前の山形屋デパートもとても懐かしいです!

桜島フェリーのうどんは鹿児島では有名らしいです。
かなり旨いうどんらしい。
