    Thanks for the tip. I just got my 20 year old Commodore back from the smash repairers and they replace ONE headlight assembly but left the other side in place! (Even though there was no damage to the one they replaced). $450 to get them to replace the other? No way! I'll be trying this tip. Thanks heaps 👍🏻💰

      Can buy them on eBay or from SSS auto parts for $200 a pair then go to Repco and buy the clear UV headlight spray paint give them a good coating and will last

      you can use ajax cleaner which is a kitchen/bathroom cleaner which has abrasive in it followed by "Jif" for final polishing

    Mate you have to put UV clear coat on after you polish them as you are leaving the plastic exposed and they will just go cloudiness again and the more times you buff them the plastic deteriorates

      I got it in the drill polishing accessories section at my local hardware store. You can also buy them on ebay from multiple sellers.

      Is the pad rough or soft?

    Does this method remove the clear coat ?

    • @Groover1964
      @Groover1964  Рік тому +1

      Once the headlight shows signs of cloudiness or yellowing any clear-coat will have long gone. This method should only be performed on headlights where obvious degradation has already occurred. Once you've restored the headlight a quick wipe with a ceramic coat like Hybrid Solutions (www.turtlewax.com.au/product-selector/product-detail/hybrid-solutions-ceramic-spray-coating) will then protect and act like a clear-coat improving the durability of the restoration.

    What’s the hole in the bottom middle of your lights for ? I’ve always wondered can someone tell me please

    • @Groover1964

      It's a side light. Small incandescent globe that gives a dull yellow glow.
