    There is a rule about limit of the low friction regarding long pimples and anti rubber. But nothing about the friction upper limit. So which one is close to table tennis roots? Or it is not important? So, the evolution is only to the high friction direction? Tacky or/and tension is the only way? Unfortunately is very rare today competitive defenders and blockers. And it was very interesting see defenders x attacker x blockers diversity competing together.

    The style of Batra is extremely difficult, Retrieving all the shots, adding Anti spins in those balls. I hope she defeats all Top 10 and show her haters that Long Pips is worthy to play with

    Anyone who is afraid to play against long pips needs to learn to play against them. In my youth I was introduced to inverted in the late 60’s. I was 10 then. I stopped playing in my twenties. I picked the h game back up eight or nine years ago realizing I wasn’t as fast and the game had advanced by changing the ball and the inverted rubber. If that isn’t confusing nothing is. I recently a year and a half ago started playing with long pips on my backhand. I can tell you it is a long curve to learn-how to play with long pips. I agree with another player who said that it’s okay to continue to develop inverted rubbers that are tackier and spinner yet frictionless pips are illegal seems one sided. I used to not like playing against long pips. I forced my self to learn to play against them by playing people who used pips. With instruction I quickly got the idea of how to play against them. But learning to use them is harder than learning to play with inverted rubber. Those who say differently never learned to play with long pips.

    Manika Batra has a very boring and defensive style of play, where she makes it very difficult for her opponent by returning the ball "too heavy" and without rotation, which causes her opponent to make mistakes by throwing the ball into the net or off the table. She sometimes insists on receiving the service to her right by making a backhand drive and ends up making a mistake throwing the ball into the net, Indian stubbornness! Attack more and train service reception, which is horrible!

      Boring is an interesting way to describe an off meta strategy that's different from what any of the top players are doing. Having a defensive playstyle against the top players in the world is most definitely not taking the easy route. Anyone at this level has 1000s of hours of practice against long pips, she's not winning points for free because of her rubber by any stretch.

      @@cheetahcub252 There is less skill required in using pips. All you need is 2 strokes. For inverted rubber players, you need to learn at least 20 strokes.
      Tennis and badminton, which are popular sports with million of followers around the world, do not have such a type of racket that INVERTS the spin of the ball.
      Also, long pips player rely on the CONTRAST between their inverted forehand rubber and long pips backhand to win points easily by getting the opponent to make easy mistakes. In tennis and badminton, there is no difference between their forehand and backhand strokes.

      @jjtabletennis6216 Not true. It tales much longer to learn pips.

    • @jjtabletennis6216
      @jjtabletennis6216 Місяць тому +1

      @@cheetahcub252 No. All you need for long pips is a chop and a hit. You can't serve without sidespin without pips. Inverted players have to learn pendulum sidetopspin, pendulum sidebackspin, reverse pendulum sidetopspin, reverse pendulum sidebackspin or the shovel/hook serve and backhand serve.
      Plus, all pips players do is USE the spin of the inverted player. They chop inverted player's topspin which becomes backspin and then hit the backspin which becomes topspin or float.
