For floor vents and ceiling vents, I find it easier and more efficient to use aluminum tape. Also not as messy and can cover gaps better.

$200 for mineral wool insulation plus spray foaming tape and cracks in the attic?! BS! Not even in 1970 that would have cost that. I'm glad that you showed the process on what needs done, but don't lie to people about costs.

Where did get insulation to cover your 1000+ sq ft home's ceiling for $200?

This is great if you can handle the fumes from the foam spray, I've tried and got sick! Now can you please make a video on how to get your cheap landlord to put some insulation in the attic, I'm literally air-conditioning the whole 3rd floor and attic and it's still hot up here

If you have an older home you should be careful when adding and insulating everything. Older homes are built to have some draft. New homes have all these fans and ducts to control the air flow, but older homes are meant to leak SOME air. If you were to cover up 100% of all leaks, you could be damaging your home instead

Then you live in a house that you can see your breath in during the winter

Whatever they recommend as adequate ventilation, have a fraction of that level of ventilation. I had a surveyor survey the house I purchased, he was recommending a laughable amount of vents be installed. I'd literally never heat the place in Winter if I followed his recommendations. In one room he told me to seal up the windows for draughts and in same room recommended that I drill a large hole in the wall for an air vent?! After I purchased the house I actually reduced the amount of existing ventilation.

The entire video is way too rushed. Her face s not the main topic. Give more time to all the sub-topics
