- This video honors the first rare track from the 1988 single, 'Nothin' At All.' This extended remix version was played on the radio a few months back (if I'm not mistaken) on 'Heart: In the Studio.' This was said to be the first time this song was ever played on any U.S. radio station. Thank you, lovesheart for asking me to upload this! I had been planning to for quite some time, but never quite got around to it... Thanks again!
60's thru 90's was the greatest time to be alive.
Very cool! This is one of my fave songs, so thank you! I actually saw the video of her live recording this ... or trying to. She was crying and they were trying to find Nancy to come and consol her. At the end it said she did finish the recording that day. What a pro!
My fave heart song ever
can any decade be id'd as easily as the '80's?.. the song?, oh, love it--my favorite by Heart...
Love this song
My favorite version!
Great use of harmony all over this cut. That main vamp in the verses is perfect Heart!
This and love alive..My 2 Fav from HEART..And Never..
One of my favorites off this album
Anne Wilson has by far the greatest voice in my generation. The general should be proud.
Wonderful rock song with a "HEART" full of memories. From better days of my radio night show in the 80s. Such a great time!
10,000th view indeed!!! Thank you so much for viewing and being a fan of Heart's back catalogue!

perfect song from perfect album.
Yes!
wow !!!!!! 20 years plus since I last heard this and I drop on this by miss spelling ---Fantastic !!!!
One of Heart's very best. Ann Wilson is by far the finest female rock singer of the '80s era. This "alternate" cut contains a different lead guitar solo starting at 2:28, which is every bit as good as the "standard" one heard usually on the radio.
I think this is the "standard" guitar solo, with the alternate one being featured on the Essential Heart album.
Doesn't sound any different to me, this is the solo I've always heard in this song. With that said, it's one of my favorite solos, very tastefully done.
@@stratplayr6997 This one's guitar "solo" is Howard Leese and Nancy Wilson playing together. The other version has Frankie Sullivan of Survivor doing a somewhat different solo. There are some differences in the mixing as well. Both versions are good!
For some reason I can imagine Phil Rudd from AC/DC playing drums on this outstanding song.
feel good music!!
Best female band coming from Seattle Wa. 👍👍
Heart never has been a female band. It started as an all-male band, then Ann joined and later Nancy joined to make it coed. The Go Gos are a female band, Heart and Fleetwood Mac aren't.
Yesss..I was the 10,000th view!!! Awesome song!!
What a Angel on the vocals . seen heart in 1978 in Portland what a show!
best woman rock singer ever
best female singer of an genre ever is ann wilson
AGREED
Nostalgia de los momentos más felices ¡bella melodía!
This song was recorded in 1985 and released in 1986 as the 4th single from the self titled album. it peaked at #10 in June 1986. By 1988, all of the singles from 'Bad Animals' had been released.
Whats your point?
Aqui en Mexico City DF si sono esta version, en la extinta ROCK101. Que buenos tiempos!! Back to basics. Thnx so much Vixenrevitup.
this one of my favorite carp songs. i love how they sing a lot about the fishes. like barracuda, the porpoise. i love this band carp. i really enjoy the marine metaphors
Awesome
Great classic ! You have good taste in music girl .
Extraordinary Song from this album. This was in the MTV era when Heart's songwriting alone and delivery came through over all of the distractions.
Ummmm there hit era with Capital was not relied on their songwriting. All their huge hits was with outside writers.
Great!!!
@pmsan29 You're very welcome! :) I'm glad you like it! ^^ Thank you so much for the kind comment!
my favorite girl bands rock singer of the '80s
It was a slightly different take used in the UK. Heart's revival really caught on here after the success of "Alone" and subsequently, many of the U.S. hits from 'Heart' were re-released to reasonable success in 1987-'88, including this version of "Nothin' At All".
love u nancy ♡
I would like to see heart , Joan Jett and the black hearts , Pat Benatar , Patty Smyth , Belinda Carlisle and the Go-Go's
Thanks a lot for the comment. There really isn't that much difference between this and the album version beyond an extension of the chorus, which makes it a bit more dull than most other extended versions of Heart's songs. Listen to 'There's the Girl''s 12" extended version for a great remix. ^^ And check out the 7" (which appears on the CD single that this track came from) and 12" remixes of 'I Want You So Bad.' They're really cool too. :)
Thanks again for commenting!

The only extended version of any Heart songs I liked was "Never". I always thought that version should have been the album version, all of the "extensions" made sense. But the other extended versions from the self-titled album and Bad Animals were really weak; most of them were just repeating choruses and adding absolutely nothing new. "What About Love" and "These Dreams" actually had some new parts added but nothing that improved the track, and "There's the Girl" sounded like they were trying way too hard to have a dance hit.
I’m not sure what you’re listening to, but there is a substantial difference between the original album cut of Nothin’ At All, and the remix.
First of all, the guitar solo on the album, which appears on the “Essentials” collection, which I’m listening to right now, is completely different. It was recorded by Survivor’s guitarist, Frankie Sullivan. The remix solo was recorded by Howard Leese, and is doubled by Nancy Wilson.
Then, Ann’s vocal performance differs significantly.
@@theaterdreamer The remix is now the album version, not the original more demo sounding cut you're talking about. That version with the Frankie Sullivan solo was originally the album version but when the single was released they replaced the album version with the single/remix version.
THE best female rock band. NUFF said.
With 3 guys in it
The Bangles...
then The Go-Gos
And a lot of other women who Rock the'80s it would be an awesome show
Efin yeah
@spoinny It basically is just extended a minute, and I think that sort of leads people to believe the version I have posted here is fake. However, I do actually own the CD Single from which this came and it is legit. Most of Heart's other extended versions are more interesting, like 'There's the Girl's 12" remix, for example, which is extended to be over 7 minutes in length.
Thanks! ^^ The only way you can actually see the 12" version of 'There's the Girl' is to go to my profile and look at my playlist "Heart Tracks." For some dumb reason or another, UA-cam took it off my uploaded videos page... And you can't find it when you search UA-cam either, which is weird...
Oh, well, definitely keep rockin'! I'll be seeing Heart in concert on the 27th and I'm so excited! I try to see them every year with my dad! :D

@lovesheart You're welcome. You're right. It basically just stretches the end and repeats a little. Even so, it is still a track that's hard to find. ^^ Thanks for the comment!
Heart is one of my favorite girl bands
There's 3 guys in Heart
They are 2 girls+ 3 guys in heart (but still a Super band😊
Has got tobe the greatest ever. ? !
Nancy Wilson, I'm Yer Huckleberry
I swear none of these i keep finding are the ones they play in stores. Isn't their a male version ? Even if i just mistaked her voice for a man. Still has more emphasis on "no one else has ever made me feel this way!" I know i wasn't just high, or tired or whatever to just feel that part. The search results have no idea what i'm talking about.
They'd give a hurricane an inferiority complex!
no this is NOT the rare version, it replaced the 1st version on the album
that is not frankie sullivon on guitar solo
Pretty weak "extended remix". It's the exact same as the 7" single version except it repeats the last chorus and additional couple of times (with the exact same performance). Good song but very weak excuse for an extended version. They did a similar very weak extended version of Alone where all they added was repeating parts of the existing song. At least What About Love and Who Will You Run To added something to the remix.
My wife and I saw Heart perform at the Winnipeg Arena back around 1990. Unfortunately, the show sucked as Ann and Nancy were dealing with demons.
I have seen Heart many times. The first 3 shows back in the late 70's they didn't finish their shows because Roger Fisher got angry. Know how you feel
1990 was a poor album with dull songs and that was when the pressure was getting to ann and the media only talked about how much weight she gained and she had anxiety attacks.
what a letdown ...
10,000th view indeed!!! Thank you so much for viewing and being a fan of Heart's back catalogue!

Is that Karen Carpenter in your avatar? I ask as I think she is an awesome (and under appreciated) singer!
FnA Heart Rules. Seen them since th 70's..Enjoy the Music and Crank it.:)
