Amazing! so smooooth feels like I could type the whole day :) just ordered one for me too! went for the black gaterons since I've been using red kailhs for 5y ^^
Hey! If you went through with it, would you mine telling me how it’s holding up? Looking into purchasing it 😅
@@kittystarss5371 Hey keyboard is perfect after 3 months of intensive use! Nothing negative to point. Amazing for the price
how do i get the keyboard to sound the same as in the vid
Wow, such a big difference! Great video.
Thanks to this vid I’ll be buying one, appreciate it!
Same
Thanks! I've been thinking of which switches to get, definetly getting these! ;D
What do you mean when you said "added film to switches". Your mods are amazing. The keyboard sounds like a 300 dollar custom one.
Edit: Also, did you get screw in gmk stabs or plate mount. Is the sound dampening foam you got black or white?
plate mount, k87 doesnt support screw ins
Thank you so much! The film I added are called TX Switch Films, and they are added between the top and bottom housing to reduce wobble.
I got the plate mounted stabs. The sound dampening foam I used is white. Hope this helps and happy modding!
@@tiffany5586 Really appreciate the info. Thank you!.
wow! how did you inserted the dampening foam? it seems like the foam won't fit in to that case.
Is it worth buying a new stabilizer? Or is lubing and clipping the stock one fine?
came her to hear the sound test.. got impressed by her cute hands :)
weird
weird
@@cadaverdoggs421 why though? She has beautiful hands 🙄
Weird
Wow the difference is night and day
Hey! Because of this video I bought the K87, Switch Films, Krytox and new keycaps! I'm only missing the foam and bandaid. Can you tell me what brand of foam did you use or do you maybe have any amazon link that I could use? Much appreciated!
Hi, if you go to any craft store there will be A4 sheets of foam (it's called neoprene foam) in all colours of the rainbow. Just get the white one!
@@georgeboswell4319 does it matter what size of foam you use? or is it just what ever fits, thanks!
@@BobSnortsalot All the foam is for is to fill the entire gap in-between the PCB and case (to remove hollow space). As long as the foam fills the space it'll work. In the UK just get whatever is cheapest or in the colour you like and it'll cost under £5.
I got a large sheet of 1mm and 2 MM foam for about £5 on eBay for my womier k87. This is because the gap is very small on this particular board. On my keychron K8 however it had a 5MM gap at least so it depends on your board. What board have you got?
@@georgeboswell4319 i plan on getting the k87 on Christmas.. thanks alot!
jeez that sounds nice... I'm honestly going to ask for this for Christmas, cant wait to mod it!
do you have any reference footage for adding the foam, ive never done it before and it would be pretty helpful. thanks so much, your an incredible Modder!
same
will you be posting anymore key board builds? because this is amazing!!!
I want this one.
What switch films did you use?
i have no idea how to do anything you said lmao but i rly like it. where could i find out how do to this
I think the foam did a lot
how did you get the colors on the keys to be purple and the case to be blue?
Is there a video showing how you modded this keyboard?
red or yellow switches?
could u tell me what grease or lube did u used to stabs?
hey! I was wondering which mod would make the biggest difference because I don't want to do all of these
lube and foam probably
i’m going to get this keyboard but i’m stuck between getting yellow, black or red switches.
Definitely go for yellow they have the best feel and sound out of all the gaterons. If not yellow then red
@@roxbi1568 yeah i already made my decision and i’m gonna go for yellows, later on i’m gonna switch them out for something else
Was there any spring ping?
What is the size of stabilizer and great vid
What does lubed mean
Some people put lubricant inside their switches, so the keys will be more silent. :)
ill pay you 30 bucks and ill pay for shipping for you to do this to my keyboard.. Deal? (im being fr btw)
cable?
