A very good insight on the subject of ornamentation (written fully or only signed, like the mordent) is given to us by the organist Erwin Wiersinga, plus the warning not to violate Bach's intentions even though there is a certain degree of freedom given to the perform by the definition of the ornamentation. Bravo and thanks for this upload.

Very interesting. Thanks, Mr Wiersinga. I'm sure you are right that in the repeats there should be variation in the ornaments.

Did Bach indicate the use of tremulant in organ pieces or was that a later option for organists, as was varying registrations?

Tremulant has been around since the late 16th century so I’m sure Bach had a use for it. As to the notation of it I’m not sure if Bach ever actually indicated trems but it’s up to the organist do what they believe Bach would have used the stops available to him for a given piece. At least that’s how I see it
