Lewis articulates several questions that would need answers to genuinely challenge Christian theology with the discovery of extraterrestrial life, including whether such life exists, whether it possesses rational souls, whether such beings are fallen, whether they have been offered redemption, and if redemption could occur in forms other than the Incarnation known to humanity.

It’s from The World’s Last Night, I believe. All of his essays in the book are excellent and this is my favorite.

Interesting video with a bad title. The idea of religion having power over science doesn’t even come up. And why would it, he’s just saying science doesn’t disprove religion and nothing more.
