- How to record audio in mono in Bitwig? That's the question.
The way to do that in Bitwig kinda differs from doing that in other DAW's.
In this video, I will explain how to record audio in mono (or stereo) in Bitwig.

You can also choose mono bass device.
You can also use the "tool" plugin to make a Stereo track behave as though it is mono, but that is a slightly different thing from an engineering perspective. If you're not familiar with the "tool," may it be your new best friend, especially for mixing. ;-)

It seems very similar to the "Mixtool" in Studio One.
@@SupercyMusic Yep, i usually use that in combination with pink noise in the background when mixing levels in Bitwig. Cant go wrong! 👍
You are right and thanks for this tip but this is still a miss by the Bitwig camp on the UI when so many other DAWs give you that other choice. It's one of the painful conversion points. I'm sure most people are on this video for that very reason.

hello i have a focusrite solo and a condenser microphone, if a record audio in a stereo track i only have sound in one speaker, if a record audio in a mono track i hear sound in both, is there a way to get audio from both speakers recording in a stereo audio track? thanks
