- (WPTV) About 500,000 people made the move from other states to Florida last year. The influx of people relocating to the Sunshine State from other parts of the U.S. is not slowing down. But one of the main reasons people move here could cost them in the long run.

People moving there cause it’s cheaper, they have no idea my dad paid under 300,000 for his small home now those same homes are 500,000 in just a two year time and they are steadily climbing. If you want to keep people out ask for more when you sell your home I’m going to ask 2 million for my 200,000 dollar home.

If i hear another person say “no state tax” one more time i swear to god. You’re not including car insurance which is fucking insane and also home insurance.
my car insurance in tennessee was $1200 a year and in fl it tripled to $3600 and thats just for liability!
