@@you-5-iver804 because at the beginning of the game your led to believe that there is only one alien, which there isn't. So if they allow you to kill one, and then another spawn, they would've had to make a bunch of alternate dialouge, cutscenes and other bs because you now know that there isn't just one alien, but multiple. And I don't think this game nor the designers behind it had that type of resources. That and it makes the game much scarier in my opinion. An unkillable animal running off instinct trying to kill you is a pretty good way to get the heart racing

The same thing is happening here. It didn't die. It vanished because the game considered it trapped.

The Alien has an enormous amount of health that is normally impossible to deplete all the way, but you can do it. The alien doesn’t have a death animation, but it does have death sound. It was originally planned for the aliens to be killable, as there’s more than one alien on the ship 😏

The alien is not unkillable. They tell you that is so you just never bother to try. Truth is It has just a very high health bar and they din't program an actual death scene becasue they didn''t think anyone would kill it.

He then shot few remaining gas tanks for lulz and walked away with them exploding behind him.

One of the thing I really loved in Alien Isolation is the shotgun feeling : the white design of the weapon, the sound of it and the relative efficiency following the target is just perfect. I've seen many shotguns in different FPS... the Alien Isolation one is maybe my favourite. I really feel in charge of a weapon... but not overpowerful than it seems : the whole gamplay requires precision and method to us it with the highest efficiency... and despite all of that... you can be killed easely because, the weapon itself doesn't give to the player an incredible power. The shotgun is just a tool that may save you when facing a robot.
In some other dimension some alien kid just lightly throws the controller, "Oh c'mon! _[Mumbles: stupid human...]_ he bugged me in the wall" this game is so broken. >_> #NerffHuman
The reason he disappeared is because he had nowhere to run. This is one of the only few locations in the game where you can lock the Alien without any vents where he can hide, the holed automatic door in the beginning of the video cannot be opened by the Alien, so he got trapped. Obviously the developers made a script which just makes him disappear in case something like this happens. You can check it by an easier way in the medical bay, where there is a room with two doors, the first one can be locked from the inside and the other one locks from the outside. Lure the alien there and lock him, he will disappear after a few seconds. By the way, the alien is unkillable, it's a fact. I've also tried to kill him a few times (yes, I am russian too). There is a location in the game more suitable for doing so, and I've collected tons of ammo and explosives as I've never used it anyway. After more than 50 rounds of the shotgun, more than 70 rounds of the revolver, and simultaneously used 4 molotovs + 4 pipe bombs he still was alive, so I assume he is unkillable by any fair way.
Imagine the balls to trap yourself in a room with one like this. Would so love to see this move in one of the movies when they decide to make a sequel.

Very impressive with the gas tank and pipe bomb. In the second instance, we don't get to see the end. It cuts out just after the flares are thrown on top of those reactor outputs. Oh well...that first one was still impressive. I wonder if that destroyed alien stays dead, or does the game cause it "respawn"? Also, if I remember correctly, most game levels with a xenomorph in them have at least two, except the one where you're trapped in the jettisoned project lab (by the a-hole, Marshal Waits) where there's just the one. So most of the time, you'd need to be able to do that trick at least twice, even if they do not respawn...and there would always need to be a gas tank around.

Gagarin actually died in space after metting and killing a whole bunch of badass aliens. Unfortunately the ship couldn't take the damage he caused; still he tried to sky dive from earth's orbit, but died after hitting and crashing a US spy satellite over fatherland. Died an accomplished hero of all soviets!
I know this is 2 years late, bu the AI does have max health and can "die" Working Joes have 6x as much health as the humans, and the Alien has 3x as much health as the Joes (so, like, x18 times the health of the humans) Normally you can't kill the Alien though as you'd never shoot it enough to kill it before it tackles and kills you

This is how it should have been gameplay wise. Make the Alien hard to kill, but still killable. It was like that in the movies, and so it should have been like that here.
That way you can kill it early and then either you never encounter it again and everything is a parkwalk until the hive plot twist, or there is no plot twist because they have to account for the player killing it and another showing up. Great horror game design and writing👍
In Aliens they had high power and High caliber military weapons. While in This like Alien and Alien 3 they don't. Not to mention that these specific type of Aliens are canonically stronger than the Drones we see in Aliens.

Correct. He bugged it. The creature is unkillable, and it's HP controls when it's triggered to retreat, not when it's triggered to ragdoll like everything else, and in fact the alien's HP was at zero after the first pipe bomb. It vanished here for the same reason it vanishes when you glitch it into locked, ventless rooms, as the game doesn't know how to get it out, but knows it's not supposed to be there. You can actually hear the creature in the vents moments after it vanishes.

It's because you're thinking about it from the framework of aliens, not alien.

The closest I ever got to killing it, was making a glitch out in the vent shafts. The rest of that mission was a cakewalk at least.

How do we know that this player actually killed the damn alien?? Seemed to me like it was a glitch or a bug. The alien just disappeared after the explosion...

Correct. He bugged it. The creature is unkillable, and it's HP controls when it's triggered to retreat, not when it's triggered to ragdoll like everything else, and in fact the alien's HP was at zero after the first pipe bomb.
It vanished here for the same reason it vanishes when you glitch it into locked, ventless rooms, as the game doesn't know how to get it out, but knows it's not supposed to be there. You can actually hear the creature in the vents moments after it vanishes.
