this is an unplugged style morning radio show performance
notice the drummer playing the buckets, notice the bassist barely plugged in , the acoustic guitars , the softer than usual singing etc.
The mixing of the studio version is really bad. I watched their performance on Conan and bought the song and man, sounded way better live. You barely hear the guitar and the bass just mumbles over everything else.
