I died 285 times the first time I finished the game… after that I restarted the game and I finished it again, this time I only died 12 times….. this game its not luck…
If for is partly like but not 80% luck like he said. If you find easy rooms, then you find a fabricator with the astronaut figurine and then you find a the parasite that revives you in the same run you had LUCK! The astronaut figurine is relatively common but still not that common. The parasite is really rare, at least in my case I had the feeling it was.
Pro tip: Always, save up your obolites for the health upgrade each level, ONLY AFTER you've bought the 25% increase in health, then go for PROTECTION / WEAPON DAMAGE or REPAIR PROFICIENCY improvements, also buying the little astronaut for an extra life is worth the buy, if you've trouble with a boss make sure to buy the astronaut and the red thingy/machine that resurrects you in the same biome. IMPORTANT, the resurrection machine only works for the specific biome, if you get killed on the next biome the resurrection doesn't carry over
Also, if you want to get better, get comforable with running and dogging enemies, try out after entering a room running in circles and avoiding attacks with the dash and jump buttons without killing the enemies, only after you can survive for a while without a hit start killing them, sitting in the corner may work in the first biome, but the game will PUNISH YOU HARD later if you don't get the blood flowing by keeping your ass moving all time!
Secret works. If you take the time to destroy everything in the rooms, plants, pillars, statues. You will find random loot and ovolits. So you can purchase things.
Its easy. Explore every biome thoroughly before going to the next. Always kill enemies and run after the obolites they drop. The sooner you understand this, the better for you. Third is soend obolites on artificates and consumables. Best ones are adrenaline leech, astronaut, energy barricade, suit integrity and large siphilium. Last but not the least, focus on your adrenaline level, this helps you get better stats. The last but most important is get a better gun. Period. The best guns in this game that makes everything so simple is Electropylon driver and arguably hollowseeker. If you have the first, youre good to go and also take risks
I made the mistake of watching a speed run where the player went in close to that first boss and killed it with only melee. I made a dozen attempts with this strat before watching a no-hit speedrun. In this second speedrun the guy stayed as far away as possible. I only needed two more attempts to get past boss 1. The beams and bullet storm of projectiles are more visually impressive than they are dangerous. Just a jump and a dash is usually enough to avoid all of the beams and bullets. Naturally, like the guy in the video says, level up your weapon and buffs and take your time before rushing to a boss.
This is a awful take man lol. It just sounds like your just good at the game. I also don’t really take many hits biome to biome but all it takes is 2 to 3 hits. It’s a very difficult game. It just seems it fits your skills.
You could literally stand still and destroy enemies when you have the right artifact on a run. You will end up having 10 healing items and you wouldn’t even need to heal since you found a trait which heals you on hit or kill. I remember a run in which I had so many things enhancing my defense that I just dropped the controller and it took 6 minutes to the last boss to kill me, 6 MINUTES. So yeah, I truly believe that how lucky you get with the artifacts & consumables will impact the difficulty of the game
DJisso is right. When I unlocked more items, I got worse rng w a bunch of new trash items and guns. So now my progress has slowed to a crawl in Act 2. Considering starting over completely to reset to more favorable rng. So this would mean it is not a skill issue, bc I'm only getting better, just worse and worse rng to curb my skill gains.
Disagree, my runs became much better once I stopped exploring, since so much RNG is involved I would normally just explore to get killed, I switched my playstyle to be as fast as possible, get to the boss and kill it. Bosses can be overwhelming at first but you'll learn the patterns fairly quickly 😅
I think you got better at fighting the bosses which meant that you didn’t rely much on artifacts or items. But Exploring and finding better weapons/traits/consumables isn’t as risky as diving into a fight “unprepared” and that applies to any game 🤔 How you getting killed exploring though 👀
@@Djisso at least in my experience, exploring wasn't worth it, since the risk-reward ratio is usually highly inclined to risk. I was trying doing this at the beginning just to get aswomped by the guys with swords in biome 2. Then I just thought to myself, what if I just rush to the boss? It worked like a charm, boss killed me 3 times (ixion), but then by the 4th time I've learn all the patterns and destroyed him, I did the same thing for nemesis, rushed avoiding all enemies and fought the boss only twice. Now I'm in biome 6 which is proving harder for me to rush so I need to figure out a new strategy since enemies are a pain in the ass in this biome, any suggestions?
@@Djisso update, beat the game yesterday using my strategy "rushing towards the boss" 😂 luckily last boss was pretty maneagble, killed it on the first try. But now, I'm playing the exploration way back from biome 1, and man I'm finishing biome 2 and my health is super high and I have lots of healing items. Once you beat the game once, everything seems to be easier 😁 enjoying the hell out of this game!

@ethan.a9054 you unlock mods by using a weapon, once you've unlocked multiple mods they start dropping with more mods included. They're not biome locked, they're mod unlocked locked, if that makes sense. Your progression is measured in mod unlocks. Fastest way to level them is once you've picked up a weapon with a locked mod, hold onto it until that mod is unlocked, then drop it instantly for another that needs unlocking. The more you unlock, the more you get and so on.
The problem with this game for me is that once I explore the whole biome, I don’t want to go back and re do it again. It’s too tedious and time consuming. It’s also boring and repetitive.
This is mostly BS, I do not know why TF nemesis does not kill you there what exact artifacts and parasites you need for that to happen but you need LUCK. Its not some kind if secret that you just know and then the game is easy. And NO! Its NOT 80% luck and 20% skill. If you have no skill you wont even explore all the rooms without loosing too much HP and upgrading your HP bar. And without skill you wont find all the stuff you need. Its also not a secret but just logic, its what I figured out pretty much right away, I was doing this after I rushed and died through the first portal in to the 2nd biome I found. BUT it can also backfire, especially in the ice biome I happen to have runs were I thought I explore away and there are insane hard rooms you can have the bad luck in running into and you can loose lots of HP and die there pretty easy so if you want to to to the 6th and last biome you might be better off exploring biome 4 but NOT biome 5 to end the game.
I don't agree, at least not whole. For me to reach 4th Biom, was a balance of exploration and going further! I haven't explored whole Bioms, but only main quest line in Biom 1 and to teleport in Biom 2... Some doors are deadly and reward is NOT worth the risk!!!

I wish it was exaggerating how prevalent luck is in this game but nah. The thing is, I have had runs where I had the best possible traits for my guns, the augments were all either Protection or Damage, the enemies combinaisons were not the toxic ones and I could stack Consumables upon consumables. Then boss fights became so unfair for the bosses since I wouldn’t even need to dodge. I am not kidding. You could remove the Analog stick and the dodge button and they wouldn’t even been able to get my health hallway with 8 healing items really to go just in case, THAT’S NOT SKILL ‼️‼️ That said, the moment skill actually becomes more important is when you aren’t so lucky in your run and you get to the boss with minimal upgrades and bad weapons. That’s when you actually have to play the game and dodge. And this is the reason why I strongly advise thoroughly exploring each level to increase one’s chances to easily make it. Rushing to a boss fight is the fastest way to die in this game And keep in mind that Those advice apply essentially to the story mode. The Sisyphus Tower works differently
Nah it’s really not hard, you just have to be good at 2 things, dodging, by dashing past attacks, and finding the gun you’re best at and attacking constantly. The problem is people are too careful and make it harder than it needs to be, you really just have to rush, get the obalites before they disappear and get as many items as possible. When I started playing it, I kept dying because of how slow I’d be and how I stayed back without being aggressive. When I started being aggressive, I wouldn’t get hit as much. Literally now, the hardest part of Returnal is figuring out what items to get first or wait to come back later, like silphium I don’t even get any unless my health is 100% so that it turns into resin instead, so I’ll wait. Also, you can’t be afraid of getting parasites with downsides, some aren’t even an issue, if there’s a good parasite with something like fall damage, I’ll take it since I can just dash right before landing from a high drop. Enemies aren’t even an issue anymore, it’s just more Obalites for me to get now. If you want a tough rougelike, I recommend Risk of Rain 2

I get it, explore everything so to that you build up on resources and integrity. The problem is, say I am on Derelict Citadel,just before the nemesis gate and I lose.I go back to overgrown ruins, personally there's no way I am going through crimson sunset again. Moreover,the game is telling me (objective) get back to Derelict Citadel, It doesn't tell me go through crimson sunsets again. Anyway, I find It extremely boring to fight basic enemies in the first biome again and again.Even worse,the looting.Repeating the looting sucks . Any other game that has given me half the frustration returnal has, was uninstalled from my system. Can't do that with Returnal,because every other aspect of the game is a freaking masterpiece

@@Calakapepe technically but there's shortcuts to crimson wastes and derelict citadel in the first area so you really jus need to pick up some health upgrades and an artifact or two then you can head straight there
I agree, but nevertheless, skill is fcking important... These days I did open all the rooms from both biomes one and two, had weapons level 11, Astronaut Figurine, a parasite that makes me survive a killing blow, AND the Reconstructor set up, and even then I couldn't kill the 2nd boss. It actually doesn't matter the preparation if the skill is lacking, this game is freaking hard, I'd say 70% skill, 30% luck.
Well considering I platinumed the game I'm not sure you're right about me playing it wrong. Depending on how you got your platinum I might say you could have gotten it more efficiently

This is a bit unrealistic advice for the average player. Relying on the rare adrenaline leech parasite is quite a stretch, which leaves you to either (nearly) perfectly navigate and beat rooms (which is just plain hard) or being forced to use up healing items instead of using them as resin. Also, opening every malignant chest is bound to have you suffer critical malfunctions, as the requirements for repairing malfunctions usually takes longer than finding another malignant chest. That leaves the open door advice to fully explore biomes, no sh*t.
I was stuck at nemesis and I was so overwhelmed by the difficulty. I was following your tip , I was exploring EVERYTHING before coming back , bro the difficulty shrinks to a minimum , you just have to take advantage of what the game gives you instead of rushing back to to the boss.
Definitely more than 20% skill involved, just for a lot of us gaming is a little more natural so we downplay that number. I know a ton of people that would play this game and simply just never figure it out even with these tips.
This game really isn't that hard, never died more than once to a boss, always beat them on the 2nd or first try. I guess that's because I did what was recommended in this video.
Depends in what your definition of hard is, if for sure is designed so you supposed to die over and over again and try over and over again, and the first boss for sure is fucking hard when you reach him. He is hard for the reason that you supposed to beat him without any practice and it takes ages to get a setup and upgraded HP and go back to him only to try again without any practice, with save points the game would be piss easy, the challenge comes from the roguelite design. Never played any other games from them and I doubt it matters. I like hard games but it for sure was frustrating and hard to learn, not fun to start at 0 all over again. Use backup saves to cheat a couple of times because I just wanted to beat bosses. Its not that I am so bad I just to not have the patience to grind roguelite games. I finished the game with 42 deaths for the first time but like I said I cheated couple of times. Turns out the very first boss is by far the hardest in the game because you do not have any kind of setup at that point from exploring and are not experienced turns out I did not even need a backup save for some of the later bosses. Game was actually more fun for me after I finished it once. All the pressure was gone, I got my weapons upgraded at least somewhat and so it became easier and going again with more skill and better setup was actually more fun.
This is probably one of the first games I would recommend to people who just got their ps5 and are looking for games to play. The haptics and Triggers were well implemented. The gunfight is so much fun and the exploration is rewarding. It is challenging BUT fair (sometimes) Definitely a must-play ‼️
Take your time well yeah Returnal will eat your time “and explore ever biom” me not knowing there’s other bioms because I simply couldn’t get there. Great advise. I’ll go search for some low level advice

Haven't played since the game came out so haven't tried after the updates, but you're correct, that's exactly how i played and even tho there's difficulty, i never really struggled too much. A few tips: 1. never skip levels 2. always explore everything and min/max your health. 3. heal by other means before picking up silphium drops, sometimes even worth buying a silphium vial before picking up the drops (they turn into silphium resin when you're at max health and will increase your max health instead) 4. Skip challenge rooms that locks you in, at least during the first two bioms. 5. Ignore malignant items and chests, they can be fun sometimes but if you're struggling and want to progress, always ignore them, 90% of the time they're not worth a potential malfunction, some malfunctions are extremely easy to get rid of and others are guaranteed to end your run. This made me wanna go back and beat it again after the "new" updates

Nice video though but I already have beaten the entire game multible times and going for platinum now. I uploaded multible walkthrough videos on my channel about it. Returnal is such a great game! There is only 1 mistake I noticed: You say there are 2 chapters. Actually there are 3. Just saying. For that you have to watch 5 house scenes (biome 1 and 4) and beat the game once. After you will be able to collect 6 surface fragments, 1 per biome. After you can watch a sixth house scene in biome 4. You will receive the car key. If you beat ophion a second time then you will get a secret ending - that's Chapter 3
They patchet it , it was harder... but we had alot of cry babies... and my opinion ia thatt 80% is skill. When i played first 2-3 days , i died alot, but when i learned to play , it become more easy. When i had runs for the platinum, i was learning the game that i would not die...i could have played the game with one life and finish it:)

It sounds like your rig needs an upgrade. Dlss on the PC is currently very stuttery, but I have a 3 series card and can run it native 1440p between 65_80 fps maxed out.
Your PC just sucks. I am playing in a 2080Ti (6 years old I think at this point) in 3440x1440 and I could play the game even without DLSS but I like lots of FPS. I play with ultra settings, even shadows in RT lately as it seems not to take much. I have my FPS capped at 75 (do not need more) and I reach that for most of the game, some areas it drops. It uses Unreal Engine 4 and most games who use this engine are properly done and optimized, including this one. Jedi Survivor had/s optimization issues for sure but not this. What hardware to you have? Let me guess, some outdated shitty gaming laptop. I bet you can even lower the settings enough to it runs OK on your system. There is a mod in nexusmods for potato PCs that tunes the engine even lower then you can in the menu. Use that or get a new PC and not b1tch about "optimization" its so typical. LOOK at the game, it looks very good and that takes some power to produce these graphics.
I just started playing this game yesterday. I’ve died by falling off the map or walking into water so many times. But I’ve only gotten killed by enemies like 4 times. Once was to the first level boss on my first attempt. But I was 1HP and I did kill him, but he came back to life so he’s a cheating bastard lol
@Djisso Yeah. He might not be used to boss encounters with multiple phases. Or he did take him down, only to return to the area during a later cycle and found the fucker still floating around down there. I started playing the game last night, and that's what happened to me. For some reason, I was under the impression that he would remain dead. I have no idea why I thought that would be the case. In hindsight, that was a pretty stupid thing of me to assume.
@@Tumbledweeb yep I didn’t notice the 3 health bars at first. I’ve mastered the game and beaten it multiple times now it’s a fun game. The bosses never stay dead cause once you beat the game there’s more lore when you play the story again. Every time you re enter a biome the boss will be there

@Jorge Torres Thus far, I've only yeeted Phrike's ass. I'm having a lot of fun exploring the biomes. As of right now, my favorite mode of engagement is to storm, ass-over-teakettle, into the various areas and pinball my way from mob to mob, meleeing them back into the flora and fauna. Since I'm already dominating the forest and desert with regular variety jump/dash, I'm looking forward to experiencing this super jump you mention first hand. I know I'm hella excited about the grapling hook, I think?

It's a pretty easy game unless you don't know how to point shoot and hit the target. If you want an actual hard game go play Metroid Prime echoes

Returnal IS really hard until you unlock weapon mods. Once you've unlocked 4, the game becomes easy mode, regardless of any other pickups.
How do you get 4?
@ethan.a9054 you unlock mods by using a weapon, once you've unlocked multiple mods they start dropping with more mods included. They're not biome locked, they're mod unlocked locked, if that makes sense. Your progression is measured in mod unlocks. Fastest way to level them is once you've picked up a weapon with a locked mod, hold onto it until that mod is unlocked, then drop it instantly for another that needs unlocking. The more you unlock, the more you get and so on.
I wanna see you do all that in biome 4 through 6😒 . My character was a beast too until they reset me when I beat boss 3.

The problem with this game for me is that once I explore the whole biome, I don’t want to go back and re do it again. It’s too tedious and time consuming. It’s also boring and repetitive.
This is mostly BS, I do not know why TF nemesis does not kill you there what exact artifacts and parasites you need for that to happen but you need LUCK. Its not some kind if secret that you just know and then the game is easy. And NO! Its NOT 80% luck and 20% skill. If you have no skill you wont even explore all the rooms without loosing too much HP and upgrading your HP bar. And without skill you wont find all the stuff you need.
Its also not a secret but just logic, its what I figured out pretty much right away, I was doing this after I rushed and died through the first portal in to the 2nd biome I found. BUT it can also backfire, especially in the ice biome I happen to have runs were I thought I explore away and there are insane hard rooms you can have the bad luck in running into and you can loose lots of HP and die there pretty easy so if you want to to to the 6th and last biome you might be better off exploring biome 4 but NOT biome 5 to end the game.
I don't agree, at least not whole. For me to reach 4th Biom, was a balance of exploration and going further! I haven't explored whole Bioms, but only main quest line in Biom 1 and to teleport in Biom 2... Some doors are deadly and reward is NOT worth the risk!!!
I changed default controls - thats it. +50 to skill. Default controls on PC are trash

That's a lie bruh? you need skill to play this game more like 80% skill and 20% luck and based on how you run and gun with the dash and your melee skill too. if anything it's based on your running and gunning skills this game is about not stopping at all when shooting. you gotta stay moving and shooting period! ain't no mercy for you in this game once you stop moving your dead. when the enemies are shooting at you you need to keep moving or else so yea don't tell ppl that lie bruh it's all about skill period.
I wish it was exaggerating how prevalent luck is in this game but nah. The thing is, I have had runs where I had the best possible traits for my guns, the augments were all either Protection or Damage, the enemies combinaisons were not the toxic ones and I could stack Consumables upon consumables. Then boss fights became so unfair for the bosses since I wouldn’t even need to dodge. I am not kidding. You could remove the Analog stick and the dodge button and they wouldn’t even been able to get my health hallway with 8 healing items really to go just in case, THAT’S NOT SKILL ‼️‼️
That said, the moment skill actually becomes more important is when you aren’t so lucky in your run and you get to the boss with minimal upgrades and bad weapons. That’s when you actually have to play the game and dodge. And this is the reason why I strongly advise thoroughly exploring each level to increase one’s chances to easily make it. Rushing to a boss fight is the fastest way to die in this game
And keep in mind that Those advice apply essentially to the story mode. The Sisyphus Tower works differently
Nah it’s really not hard, you just have to be good at 2 things, dodging, by dashing past attacks, and finding the gun you’re best at and attacking constantly. The problem is people are too careful and make it harder than it needs to be, you really just have to rush, get the obalites before they disappear and get as many items as possible. When I started playing it, I kept dying because of how slow I’d be and how I stayed back without being aggressive. When I started being aggressive, I wouldn’t get hit as much. Literally now, the hardest part of Returnal is figuring out what items to get first or wait to come back later, like silphium I don’t even get any unless my health is 100% so that it turns into resin instead, so I’ll wait. Also, you can’t be afraid of getting parasites with downsides, some aren’t even an issue, if there’s a good parasite with something like fall damage, I’ll take it since I can just dash right before landing from a high drop. Enemies aren’t even an issue anymore, it’s just more Obalites for me to get now. If you want a tough rougelike, I recommend Risk of Rain 2
@@Djisso yeah it’s not bad, it is fun to play, hardest part is choosing what items to get and when to come back for others. A much harder roguelike that I love is Risk of Rain 2, I highly recommend it and I’d suggest trying it out, you ever heard of it?

Pretty much just says to play the game and progress (exactly what people want tips for) until you have enough broken items unlocked to hopefully get all of them in one run along with the most broken weapon traits. Not really a tip video if all you say is "wait for the god run"
@@Djissoalso 100%ing everything in every run isn't a very feasible option. When I die in dark souls there's usually a shortcut back to the boss for a reason

I get it, explore everything so to that you build up on resources and integrity. The problem is, say I am on Derelict Citadel,just before the nemesis gate and I lose.I go back to overgrown ruins, personally there's no way I am going through crimson sunset again. Moreover,the game is telling me (objective) get back to Derelict Citadel, It doesn't tell me go through crimson sunsets again. Anyway, I find It extremely boring to fight basic enemies in the first biome again and again.Even worse,the looting.Repeating the looting sucks . Any other game that has given me half the frustration returnal has, was uninstalled from my system. Can't do that with Returnal,because every other aspect of the game is a freaking masterpiece

@@Calakapepe technically but there's shortcuts to crimson wastes and derelict citadel in the first area so you really jus need to pick up some health upgrades and an artifact or two then you can head straight there
I agree, but nevertheless, skill is fcking important... These days I did open all the rooms from both biomes one and two, had weapons level 11, Astronaut Figurine, a parasite that makes me survive a killing blow, AND the Reconstructor set up, and even then I couldn't kill the 2nd boss. It actually doesn't matter the preparation if the skill is lacking, this game is freaking hard, I'd say 70% skill, 30% luck.

This is a bit unrealistic advice for the average player. Relying on the rare adrenaline leech parasite is quite a stretch, which leaves you to either (nearly) perfectly navigate and beat rooms (which is just plain hard) or being forced to use up healing items instead of using them as resin. Also, opening every malignant chest is bound to have you suffer critical malfunctions, as the requirements for repairing malfunctions usually takes longer than finding another malignant chest. That leaves the open door advice to fully explore biomes, no sh*t.

I was stuck at nemesis and I was so overwhelmed by the difficulty. I was following your tip , I was exploring EVERYTHING before coming back , bro the difficulty shrinks to a minimum , you just have to take advantage of what the game gives you instead of rushing back to to the boss.
Definitely more than 20% skill involved, just for a lot of us gaming is a little more natural so we downplay that number. I know a ton of people that would play this game and simply just never figure it out even with these tips.

This game really isn't that hard, never died more than once to a boss, always beat them on the 2nd or first try. I guess that's because I did what was recommended in this video.

Depends in what your definition of hard is, if for sure is designed so you supposed to die over and over again and try over and over again, and the first boss for sure is fucking hard when you reach him. He is hard for the reason that you supposed to beat him without any practice and it takes ages to get a setup and upgraded HP and go back to him only to try again without any practice, with save points the game would be piss easy, the challenge comes from the roguelite design.
Never played any other games from them and I doubt it matters. I like hard games but it for sure was frustrating and hard to learn, not fun to start at 0 all over again. Use backup saves to cheat a couple of times because I just wanted to beat bosses. Its not that I am so bad I just to not have the patience to grind roguelite games. I finished the game with 42 deaths for the first time but like I said I cheated couple of times. Turns out the very first boss is by far the hardest in the game because you do not have any kind of setup at that point from exploring and are not experienced turns out I did not even need a backup save for some of the later bosses. Game was actually more fun for me after I finished it once. All the pressure was gone, I got my weapons upgraded at least somewhat and so it became easier and going again with more skill and better setup was actually more fun.

This is probably one of the first games I would recommend to people who just got their ps5 and are looking for games to play. The haptics and Triggers were well implemented. The gunfight is so much fun and the exploration is rewarding. It is challenging BUT fair (sometimes)

There is multiplayer but it restricted to the main story. I would have loved the tower to be playable with other people though

Haven't played since the game came out so haven't tried after the updates, but you're correct, that's exactly how i played and even tho there's difficulty, i never really struggled too much.
A few tips: 1. never skip levels
2. always explore everything and min/max your health.
3. heal by other means before picking up silphium drops, sometimes even worth buying a silphium vial before picking up the drops (they turn into silphium resin when you're at max health and will increase your max health instead)
4. Skip challenge rooms that locks you in, at least during the first two bioms.
5. Ignore malignant items and chests, they can be fun sometimes but if you're struggling and want to progress, always ignore them, 90% of the time they're not worth a potential malfunction, some malfunctions are extremely easy to get rid of and others are guaranteed to end your run.
This made me wanna go back and beat it again after the "new" updates

Nice video though but I already have beaten the entire game multible times and going for platinum now. I uploaded multible walkthrough videos on my channel about it. Returnal is such a great game!
There is only 1 mistake I noticed: You say there are 2 chapters. Actually there are 3. Just saying. For that you have to watch 5 house scenes (biome 1 and 4) and beat the game once. After you will be able to collect 6 surface fragments, 1 per biome. After you can watch a sixth house scene in biome 4. You will receive the car key. If you beat ophion a second time then you will get a secret ending - that's Chapter 3
They patchet it , it was harder... but we had alot of cry babies... and my opinion ia thatt 80% is skill. When i played first 2-3 days , i died alot, but when i learned to play , it become more easy. When i had runs for the platinum, i was learning the game that i would not die...i could have played the game with one life and finish it:)

I'm stuck playing this game at 25fps max, PC needs a little more optimization.
You need to upgrade your system. Optimization doesn't mean make it run at 144fps on ancient hardware.
The game runs like a dream on PC, you need to adjust your expectations to your hardware. This is a PS5 port, not a 10 year-old game.
It sounds like your rig needs an upgrade. Dlss on the PC is currently very stuttery, but I have a 3 series card and can run it native 1440p between 65_80 fps maxed out.
Your PC just sucks. I am playing in a 2080Ti (6 years old I think at this point) in 3440x1440 and I could play the game even without DLSS but I like lots of FPS. I play with ultra settings, even shadows in RT lately as it seems not to take much. I have my FPS capped at 75 (do not need more) and I reach that for most of the game, some areas it drops. It uses Unreal Engine 4 and most games who use this engine are properly done and optimized, including this one. Jedi Survivor had/s optimization issues for sure but not this.
What hardware to you have? Let me guess, some outdated shitty gaming laptop. I bet you can even lower the settings enough to it runs OK on your system. There is a mod in nexusmods for potato PCs that tunes the engine even lower then you can in the menu. Use that or get a new PC and not b1tch about "optimization" its so typical. LOOK at the game, it looks very good and that takes some power to produce these graphics.

I beat the run on my first try and only had 4 small heals going into the boss, I didn't use any tutorials :) almost died a few times mind you.
I just started playing this game yesterday. I’ve died by falling off the map or walking into water so many times. But I’ve only gotten killed by enemies like 4 times. Once was to the first level boss on my first attempt. But I was 1HP and I did kill him, but he came back to life so he’s a cheating bastard lol

Or he did take him down, only to return to the area during a later cycle and found the fucker still floating around down there. I started playing the game last night, and that's what happened to me. For some reason, I was under the impression that he would remain dead. I have no idea why I thought that would be the case. In hindsight, that was a pretty stupid thing of me to assume.
@@Tumbledweeb yep I didn’t notice the 3 health bars at first. I’ve mastered the game and beaten it multiple times now it’s a fun game. The bosses never stay dead cause once you beat the game there’s more lore when you play the story again. Every time you re enter a biome the boss will be there

@Jorge Torres Thus far, I've only yeeted Phrike's ass. I'm having a lot of fun exploring the biomes. As of right now, my favorite mode of engagement is to storm, ass-over-teakettle, into the various areas and pinball my way from mob to mob, meleeing them back into the flora and fauna.
Since I'm already dominating the forest and desert with regular variety jump/dash, I'm looking forward to experiencing this super jump you mention first hand. I know I'm hella excited about the grapling hook, I think?
