Very impressed with the layout and finish , it's very neat. I built one in the 60's and just for the record I made a tubular steel stand to enable the motor and drive to be placed under the headstock....... this was mainly to make it more compact and also to have the drive belt pulling down as opposed to pulling sideways........the motor I used is 1/3 Hp 3,000 rpm 3 phase and a VFD........primary drive belt reduction is 1/2 to give more torque at low rpm.
