That makes sense because I can’t see Ed in her room taking going threw the stuff that’s something the son or daughter would do because, they person who passes is there mother
I don't know why, but when the song says 'You got to see the person I have become' and then shows the clip of him in front of thousands it always gives me chills.
Ed has the ability to write the deepest lyrics in the simplest way that makes it easy to relate and there fore FEEL the lyrics as though they are your own life. How special is this man? This is a beautiful tribute song and there’s no shame in crying.
I took care of my mom for 12 years. She had dementia. This song made me cry whenever I listened to it during the last year or so of her life. She has been gone two years now and this song will reduce me to a sobbing mess every time. I happened upon your reaction today and once again I’m a mess. I needed the release though so thank you. Times are hard for everyone. Sometimes a good cry does help.
This is a heartwarming song. I can put myself into the song as both my parents are gone. The photo albums, memories and the love you felt are important.
A lot of people miss the fact when he was playing the acoustic guitar on stage alone there was no audience.... He was singing this song for one person.
Hi Chris. I am a 17 years old boy from India. Absolutely love your reactions. Last week was tough for me. My paper didnt go as i had expected. Was a little depressed. Then saw your reaction video [ dance with the devil] Absolutely loved it, good to see a man of your age reacting to rap stuff. You bring a smile on my face. Thankyou mate
Thanks Monita! You'll learn that there are so many wonderful moments in life ahead of you but they also come with challenges as well. Keep your head up and look for others that need your insights. There are so many that need someone to relate to. Your experiences in life become a roadmap for others to follow. Blessings to you my friend!
Yes we like it when you get moved by the music becouse thats the beauty with music. But dont forget that when you get moved we are all here with you. Giving you a warm embrace that travels all over the world from different countries. We are all here together 💛
Real men CAN shed a tear…. At 60 when my mom passed hearing this song…. Tears came down. And for ALL the right reasons…. As to your father and his faults, we all have them. My dad and I only had one real talk in my entire life. I will never forget it….. and he was fr from perfect as well, though I knew he loved me.
I’m convinced everybody that makes requests wants to make me cry as well Larry lol You are such a beautiful soul, your smile lights up my day and I can see so much love in your eyes. (Not meaning to sound creepy lol) You just have such a beautiful light around you the world needs more ppl like you. ✨✨
This song brings me to tears every time. It reminds me of my grandmother who I greatly miss. I wish that she had been around long enough to see my wedding and to meet my wife and my kids. I hope that she would be proud of me.

I love that the 3rd time the chorus changes from "when god takes you back he'll say Halleluiah you're home " to when god took you back he said.... moving from the pending loss to the the reality. I lose it at the crooning/wailing. that sound is somehow conveying all the loss, all the sorrow, and all the love and hope.
It's my mom's birthday in heaven on Monday 3/7. Despite our sometimes difficult relationship and her struggles with mental health. I miss her so much that it aches at times. This song gets me everytime. It has almost been 2 years since I lost her. I appreciate you sharing your reactions and emotions.
Thank you so much for reacting to this one Chris, and thank you for the mention. My condolences for the loss of your father ❤️ No matter how many times I hear this song, and I’ve listened to it hundreds of times, it still brings a tear to my eye and a lump to my throat. Ed Sheeran is a beautiful songwriter, and he has a lovely voice….this song though…it’s beyond beautiful. Great reaction, well done for holding it together! I like how you started to focus on the instruments and the “mechanics” of the song to distract yourself from the emotions it wrought. Bravo! It doesn’t hurt to let it out sometimes though. 😊
Ed has some seriously moving songs. There was the song he wrote for his granddad after he passed called Afire Love where the chorus is about what his granddad used to say to his nan. Then there's Visiting Hours which he wrote just after his best friend passed away and that one will hit you in the feels just as much as Supermarket Flowers
Ed Sheeran's Supermarket Flowers is a song Ed sang about the loss of his Gran who passed away he sang about how much she shaped him and what a wonderful fulfilling life she had and how it's difficult it is to let go of someone so close and love they shared with each other and how fortunate he was she saw everything he becomes.
@@larryshair No but you are sweet though, and soo pretty! Shucks, you know it. Not sure why I said shucks, as I'm English, in England. Golly gosh Larry, you know it! There. And, YW. Love, peace and music from East Anglia, the Sunrise Coast of England. x

Blessings to you and your family. I am so very sorry. I just buried my father in law a few days back and he was like a dad to me. You're not alone. Praying for you and your family my friend.
Thanks for doing this reaction video . I know it was a tough one. My Dad passed years ago , even though I know where he is , I still have tears of missing him often . My brother passed just a few years later . We have moved my Mom in with us . She will turn 86 in May. So has lost her husband and a child I know her heart aches. Thanks for doing this reaction . I had some therapeutic tears and seeing and hearing your thoughts helped so much. God bless you Chris ! ❤🙏

Hi Larry! this is a especial video, I really appreciate the way you express yourself, it feels so real, thanks for sharing your thoughts and fellings. Very touching song and very touching reaction. When you have time you could listen to PENUMBRA - Tormento(video) it's a new rock/metal band, an it's a song about one of the stages of grief. I'd love to know your opinion about them. Hope you like it. Cheers from Argentina!
Oh I am so very sorry to hear about your sister. Blessings to you my friend. I can’t imagine. I am about to lose my dear sister in law that is suffering from early onset Lewy body dementia (same thing that Robin Williams had). I hope you know that you are not alone and have to walk this path without knowing we are with you.
Hello Chris. Thanks for reacting to yet another song I was unfamiliar with. A very beautiful song. I also had a dad with many faults, but also very many good traits. Traits that I'm proud to feel that I carry. My mum is still alive, luckily. I hate to think about the day she passes. But there will DEFINITELY be a place for her where she goes. Hmm.. that felt strangely relieving to write actually. Take care Buddy !

(Typing this at 0:11 into the video, so we'll see how it goes..!) Well, now I know for sure that I'd never have made it through without your interjections; some well-timed pauses there, sir! 😊Ed Sheeran is a master at these types of songs - him and Lewis Capaldi, a young Scottish singer-songwriter who's a vocal powerhouse. I don't know if you've reacted to the latter yet, but he's well worth a look too - 'Someone You Loved' and 'Before You Go' are his biggest hits.
There is this one song from Ed Sheeran from his collaborations album - Little Lady by Ed Sheeran feat Mikill Pane - that is simply moving. Its one of those songs that I don’t know if I like. It makes me sad, angry, impressed with the writing, hopeful, and imminently tragic. It spins parts of the real world people don’t want to talk about into verses you can listen to and feel like you’re there, wanting to help. It’s by no means a happy song but I’d love to see your reaction to it. Great video and keep up the amazing content!
River - Eminem ft. Ed Sheeran Rember the Name - Ed Sheeran ft Eminem and 50 cent Those kinda Nights - Eminem ft Ed Sheeran These are 3 songs Eminem and Ed Sheeran made together as it doesn't look like anyone recommended them. The order I listed is the order the came out. The first came out in 2017 with the second and 3 one coming out in 2019 and 2020. All 3 good songs. I love Those kind of nights. I'll wait for those videos for people to give you behind the scenes on their relationship. Hope this crosses your path.
I love Ed Sheehan and am looking forward to this one. But if you’re in need of some happy music, try PTX Rather Be and also Sing. These are the first two songs on my every morning play list. My condolences on the loss of your father. 💙💙💙
Just found your reactions on here! Keep it up and be you!! I played this song at my mom's funeral when she passed not even 3 years ago. There is a follow-up song to this he made called "Visiting Hours" which I would like for you to react to as well. This song has all my emotions for mom... there was a dry eye in the crowd after I spoke and played Supermarket Flowers. Keep it up, brother. Check out Ed Sheeran - Visiting Hours - Which is a sequel to this song I think you will enjoy tremendously!
I would highly recommend Olivia Rodrigo she is really great I would recommend “Traitor” and “Drivers Licence” I hope you see this and I’m a big fan been watching for along time ever since runaway Aurora 💕 Love from Ireland 🇮🇪
Uh this song cuts so so deep, you can’t explain what it’s like to lose a parent to anyone that hasn’t gone through it themselves, because you can’t ever get the pain across. Ed wrote this about his Nan but in the prospective of his mum. Losing my mum at a young age i concert to this song on such a deep level
It doesn’t matter what gender you are everyone has a right to cry and men more so need to do it more, it doesn’t make you any less of a man for crying it shows your human
Its so weird im almost 22 now and i have that "masculine, dont cry" thing etched to my backbone (I just typed some words without knowing if they made any sense), but Ive noticed that I feel more passionate now and can understand oain better than when lets say i was 17. My eyes can grt a bit wattery if i watch something sad whilr when I was younger I just didnt feel anything, and I think in a couple of years I might be able to fully express my emotions and not have the lump in the throat situation. Looking forward to more Eminem ofc but also more of these genres asweel!
As we get older and start to have life events such as kids, parents passing and friends lost, the songs gain new perspective we couldn't have been appreciated without that foundation of life-events. It's like discovering a song all over again.
I'm so very sorry. It's kind of good to know when a person like you misses your grandma that much. You both have mastered the ability to love, and the sad reality to lose a loved one. Embrace it.
@larryshair thank you so much, my grandmother was an amazing women and it's hard every single day, and since her passing my mental health "I have bpd" has declined
Love Ed Sheeran! I don't know if you are familiar with Passenger. Great music, great lyrics, hugely underrated. Please react to And I love her, best love song in my opinion.
You should listen to “hearts don’t break around” here by ed (the rolling stone edition on yt). It’s not a make you cry song like this one but it’s Such a beautiful and poetic song and in my opinion and one of the best song on the album. A lof of people find “perfect” the best or most beautiful song on the album but the rolling stone version of hearts don’t break around here knocks perfect of the shelf.
first time i heard it was when my mum told me she picked it for my nans funeral, and the song still gets me, not because it was my nans farewell song but because it just tugs at your heart strings
This song is about his grandmother but written from the perspective of his mother
That makes sense because I can’t see Ed in her room taking going threw the stuff that’s something the son or daughter would do because, they person who passes is there mother
I think of my nanny (my great nan) every time I listen to this and it breaks me every time xx
This came out 2 days after my mom passed...still hits my feels! Ed is a true gift to music.
Loved it.

LYRICS!
I took the supermarket flowers from the windowsill
I threw the day old tea from the cup
Packed up the photo album Matthew had made
Memories of a life that's been loved
Took the get well soon cards and stuffed animals
Poured the old ginger beer down the sink
Dad always told me, "Don't you cry when you're down"
But mum, there's a tear every time that I blink
Oh I'm in pieces, it's tearing me up, but I know
A heart that's broke is a heart that's been loved
So I'll sing Hallelujah
You were an angel in the shape of my mum
When I fell down you'd be there holding me up
Spread your wings as you go
And when God takes you back we'll say Hallelujah
You're home
Fluffed the pillows, made the beds, stacked the chairs up
Folded your nightgowns neatly in a case
John says he'd drive then put his hand on my cheek
And wiped a tear from the side of my face
I hope that I see the world as you did 'cause I know
A life with love is a life that's been lived
So I'll sing Hallelujah
You were an angel in the shape of my mum
When I fell down you'd be there holding me up
Spread your wings as you go
And when God takes you back we'll say Hallelujah
You're home
Hallelujah
You were an angel in the shape of my mum
You got to see the person I have become
Spread your wings and I know
That when God took you back he said Hallelujah
You're home

Why must you do this to me? I'm a wreck now. I lost my dad when I was 17 in 2003. My condolences, friend. It feels good to cry sometimes. We're human.
Music is magic... I'm so sorry for your loss. Just lost my father in law a few days back and these songs hit hard. Good to know we're not alone.
River - Eminem ft. Ed Sheeran
Rember the Name - Ed Sheeran ft Eminem and 50 cent
Those kinda Nights - Eminem ft Ed Sheeran
These are 3 songs Eminem and Ed Sheeran made together as it doesn't look like anyone recommended them.
A happy one about his family is "Nancy Mulligan"
Think you should react to Lucy Spraggan - Tea and Toast. This is one that got me the second i heard it and i have never been able to forget it
Never listen to Ed sheeran if you don't want your heart strings pulled
Beautiful song...
This song is about his Grandma but from his mother Point of view. He explained it on an interview but I don't know which one
Ed sheeran- visiting hours. Is a song he wrote for same person
Truly appreciate your tender human spirit! 🙏 NAMASTE
Blessings friend!
@@larryshair Thank you so much. And to you and your family always. patti
I love Ed Sheehan and am looking forward to this one. But if you’re in need of some happy music, try PTX Rather Be and also Sing. These are the first two songs on my every morning play list.
My condolences on the loss of your father. 💙💙💙
Thanks Susan!
If you haven’t already please listen to his song small bump 💜
My little sister has passed away so this song hits the heart.
Wow, I'm so very sorry
I would highly recommend Olivia Rodrigo she is really great I would recommend “Traitor” and “Drivers Licence” I hope you see this and I’m a big fan been watching for along time ever since runaway Aurora 💕 Love from Ireland 🇮🇪
Uh this song cuts so so deep, you can’t explain what it’s like to lose a parent to anyone that hasn’t gone through it themselves, because you can’t ever get the pain across. Ed wrote this about his Nan but in the prospective of his mum. Losing my mum at a young age i concert to this song on such a deep level
Blessings my friend
Please do Visiting Hours from Ed, it’s a great song
Sorry to hear about your dad passing away!
Thanks!
There is nothing wrong and bad with not crying and showing emotions
You never know by immortal technique, i promise you, you will like it.
Listen to more ed sheeran songs
I lost my grandmother 3 months ago... and it's hard to listen to...
Hopsin’s ill mind 5/6 would be a good video/rap to react to!
Please react to “Home Free - Castle on the Hill -LIVE”. It’s amazing!!! 🥰🥰🥰
Should do a reaction to G-Eazy ft Kehlani ( Everything Will Be OK ) one of the best songs ever written
its actually about his nan but he wrote it in his mums perspective and wasnt even going to release it but his mum said it would be a shame not to
first time i heard it was when my mum told me she picked it for my nans funeral, and the song still gets me, not because it was my nans farewell song but because it just tugs at your heart strings
Can you do visiting hours by Ed sheeran
