A friend of mine worked for Tops and got me a tour. Everything in this video is true. The staff were all super cool and it was a great experience. Tops are the only knives I buy now. I have a few and my wife uses their kitchen knives. Never had an issue with any of them.
I’m 60 years old. I’ve served 20 years in the military and 15 as a DOD contractor. I’ve had many knives throughout my years of service. To this date, TOPS knives are the best that I’ve found. My favorites are Tex Creek 69, Fieldcraft by BOB (have 3 of them), street scalpel 2.0, szabo express, and the wild pig hunter.
I love the combination of modern technology and genuine craftsmanship! You can see they take pride in their work. I thought it would be more automated... I'm glad it wasn't. Thanks for the tour.
I have a steel eagle with a saw toothed back. Its an exceptional survival tool. Sadly the knife laws are crap here in the UK so it cannot be legally taken outside anymore.
Tops knives always seem to be just gimmicky enough to leave something to be desired. Like the ferro notch instead a 9O degree spine for example. I know the “differential heat treat” and all that. IMO it just sounds cool. The only knife I’ve ever bent permanently was the BOB, thanks to their heat treat. If you snap a 3/16” knife, you’re obviously using it for unintended purposes. That extra step for the notch and the extra time it takes to treat only part of the blade drive up cost due to time. It’s 1095 with micarta. That’s it. Feels like they take unnecessary extra steps because they think they know more. More steps = more money. Edit: remember this guy is a corporate salesman for battlebox. He might not even like TOPS, but they’ll pay him to tour their facility and make a video for content ($) to up their sales ($). All about marketing and money now, not actually the knife
What’s the one TOPS Knife model you’d trust the most for your everyday carry or survival kit?
Iraq JAC
I EDC a TOPS Mini Extractor in scout position. Not too big, not too small, it's just a perfect, bulletproof blade for EDC.
Mini Scandi. Love it.
Brakkimo or BOB in 154cm
Silent Hero 4 is tough to beat.

Fabulous behind the scenes look. Thanks!
Thanks for watching!

Top's knifes are top of the Line
I never realized they make everything in house. Knife, scales, sheath. Impressive as hell.
One of the best brands out there, hands down.
Craig is such a nice, down to earth, guy as well.
Super visite ! Merci 👍🇨🇵
I hope this means there is a TOPS knife in our future
Came here to say this lol😂
I don't own any Tops knives But, I drool whenever I see them. Awesome video
Santa brought me an Apache Dawn w/ Rocky Mountain grip for Christmas!
Tops knives is the only company that I will buy a 1095 blade from no one else can do it like tops.
Very nice tour of Tops production plant. Thanks BATTLEBOX
Nice tour of the tops facilities.
To many to choose which one to get.
Thanks for this amazing video, I’ve been a Tops Knives fan since The Hunted.
Great video...
Well edited video. Great company.
Awesome video! I'm going to add a Tops knife to my collection this year. 🇺🇲👍😎
It’s a very addicting habit collecting knives that and flashlights they go hand and hand. I have almost a 100 of each lol 😆
Did TOPS bevel grind with The CNC Haas?? Wicked!
I'm confused... They 'heat treat' every knife by hand???....There aren't enough hours in a day!?!?
I wanna know there average time for doing the bevels
Really nice vid. Thanks. Next time, bring with you a guy named JoeX, that will be epic.
Yeah Joe isn't much a fan of Tops knives
WOW! Idaho is still OK.
Looks very normal to me compared to the neighbor to the west

That would be kind of cool. Dollar bill Micarta!
Hobo Shoestring????
" compared to other knife companies "!!!!!!?????? Which knife companies are you referring to exactly???? I'm actually curious!!????

Math news. A dollar bill is .003 " thick. so stack em up.
Too nice and expensive for a KOTM
Some of them get nervous being on camera. 🤔🤔
One answer for that is ignorance, bigotry, and hate.
Tops is cool but ima Tkell knife guy much better looking & functioning fixers. Only down side is the long wait
Lol a Pigsticker knock off copy of old Russian Kizlayar Phoenix model ...
Great blade either way
TOPS knives always seem to leave something to be desired, for me anyways. That being said, it’s good to see an American company doing so well
No doubt, being military and law enforcement knives makes them extra special. Why not refer to them as hero knives.
